If I could give zero stars I would!! DO NOT SELL YOUR USED EQUIPMENT TO THIS PLACE.
This company is the most unprofessional company I’ve come across. I decided in my google search to sell my equipment with FocusCamera, they sent a UPS label and I shipped it on its way. The equipment was rcvd January 24th with an email that stated it would take 3-4 business days for a quote. Well an entire week passed and I hadn’t received a quote. I then had to call in MULTIPLE times to get ahold of the “manager” that would offer me a quote. He called and gave me an offer of $250 for a brand new EOS77D kit and two new Cannon lenses. Knowing my equipment was in perfect condition and is valued for much more, I declined this offer and requested my equipment shipped back. He then had me on hold for 30 mins, until I finally decided to hang up and call back. When I called back I was told I would expect a call back at the end of the day. NEVER RECEIVED THAT CALL BACK. Took another 2 days for me to get ahold of receptionist who apologized and reassured me that I would get a call. AGAIN never got a call back. So at this point I do not trust this company, I am getting the run around!! Would you? ... On Feb. 24th I had to get ahold of HR because no other department answers!!! I was then told I would get a call back from Ralph in the next 30 min because he was out to lunch ... YOU GUESSED RIGHT. I never got that call. So two hours later I call and am told he’s on a 15 min break but when I demand to speak with him he’s all of a sudden available ... (At this point I want my equipment back ASAP because my time is valuable and they wasted so much time) In speaking with Ralph I request for 2-day sipping and his first response was “That would cost too much money as we already spend money on shipping your equipment here”. (Considering the fact this company has been ignoring my calls, lagging on information and being rude, THAT is the least this company could do.) So by the end of this call Ralph assures me that it would be shipped out end of day and I would receive a tracking number. Can you guess what happened next? I NEVER RECEIVED ANY INFORMATION. Today is Feb 10th. It’s been more than 3-4 business days. I have wasted more energy and time in trying to contact these people for my equipment back! What kind of a company keeps a client in the run around for 3 weeks. I am sick of calling and getting told I will rcv calls back that never happen!! I have sent emails that do not get responded to!! I will try again this week and see if I can get my things to me ASAP, & if I get my equipment back in any shape that it wasn’t or one thing is missing I will be suing!! Read moreI don’t normally write reviews on companies, only when they are really, really good. Or really, really bad. Unfortunately my experience with Focus Camera LLC was the later, and it has been a bad experience. I purchased a $2400 telescope with them, via Amazon. Shipment arrived a week later however only half of the order showed up. This is a big telescope, and it comes in two very large boxes. One box has the telescope, and the other has the tripod, both essential for the use of this equipment. I assumed someone in the warehouse missed the large “1 OF 2 BOXES, SOLD AS SET” on the side of the box. Accidents happen, it’s frustrating, but they do. I was hopefully a quick call the next day the other box would be expedited out. The first call to customer service had me believing this was to be the case. “The second box is being prepared for shipping”. This was a term I would come to hear A LOT of the next two weeks. I’ll spare you most of the details, but it entailed countless phone calls and emails (including one to the owner, that has yet to go answered). The typical response was “The second box is being prepared for shipping”. I started to have serious doubts that the second box was even there. Finally 14 days after the first box was shipped I spoke with a customer service rep who was truthful with me. “That order was always a split order, we don’t have the other box, and have no idea when will get it. And you are not the only person who has this issue. There are two others”. Let’s list all the things this company just did: Took my money without have the product in stock, while claiming they did. They did not tell me this was a “Split order” when I ordered it, letting me know I would only get half. I had to spend my own time trying to calling/texting them trying to figure out where my order was. Every customer service rep I spoke with my flat out lied to me, and told me “It was being shipped” (I’ve got emails). They knowingly did this to others. In addition most of the people I spoke with on the phone couldn’t give two S** about my problem that their company created. I feel like I was 100% duped and swindled by Focus Camera LLC. I get that mistakes happen, maybe there was an error in the computer system, I don’t know. However, when a company does make a mistake, like Focus LLC did, it’s how they respond to their mistake that speaks volumes to me as a consumer. So far Focus Camera LLC has failed...

I placed an order of $600 Sony camera through Newegg's marketplace. Focus Camera was the seller. I chose to buy from them because they have a bundle and I thought Newegg was a reliable website. However, I was wrong. First I didn't receive the bundle as shown on the webpage but a camera w/ lens only. I wrote a bunch of emails asking for the bundle, but only few were replied. I called their customer service for several times (I tried very hard) but most of the times my calls were put on hold and then hung up unexpectedly. Their customer service is totally a joke.
Now they refuse to send me the rest of the bundle and claim that I only ordered a camera w/ lens. Come on!!! Who would order less if they were the same price??? They asked me to return the camera if I felt unsatisfied with it, but if I return it, I'll have to pay the 10% restocking fee -- in this case -- $60. So I see the picture here: whether or not I return the item, they'll always be the winner. They can make profits from customers' returns or from not sending out the bundles. Without the rest of the bundles, they actually over-priced their items, and I, the customer, was meant to be the stupid lamb who was intrigued by the fake bundles which never existed.
Another thing to mention: when I received the package, the Sony camera box was not sealed with Sony tapes (or any other tapes). I asked Focus Camera whether the camera I received was opened box or refurbished, they claimed that because they purchased Sony products in bulk, the boxes were not sealed in order to be examined. They even asked me to ask Sony. So I did. From my conversations with Sony's representatives, they said that all Sony products were supposed to be sealed by Sony tapes under any circumstances, and if they weren't, they could be refurbished or opened box. There, Focus Camera fooled me again.
I feel that the whole experience was a scam/ fraud and sincerely hope that you will not have to experience what I went through. Now I'm still in fight of the returning issues, sadly, but I still want to share my experience and hope that no more people will be fooled again by this...
