Pizza Central of Brooklyn — Restaurant in New York

I give this ZERO stars. I stop in from time to time because it is the only option within walking distance but my most recent experience was the last straw. I ordered a philly cheese steak. First I was confused to the 2 separate philly cheese steak on the menu. One was with onions and the other with peppers. You couldn't get it with both like every other pizzeria in NY. Also every pizzeria in New York I've ordered from uses mozzarella cheese. This place used sliced yellow American. I realized this after it was cooked and told them I wanted mozzarella and explained that that's what I thought It would be made with. The owner said it would be $1 more and literally stated that he will pick the meat off the previous sandwich and yellow cheese. He said he cant make a new one because then he will lose money....

Pizza Central is my closest local pizza joint. I consider it my neighborhood pizza place. It has changed hands since I first started eating and ordering from there, but the people who run it now are great. The interior was recently reconfigured to create more space for people to sit and eat. They offer a range of Italian style foods and offer delivery. I like them. They remembered me after my long absence due to COVID. The only reason I don't give the food 5 stars is DiFara's is near-ish, and perhaps the best tasting pie of any sort I've ever...

The place was immaculately clean. Very inviting to walk into. The girl that took my order was very friendly and pleasant. The kind of service that should be expected but hardly ever happens. The pizza was average. I can get that kind of pizza anywhere. I come to Brooklyn to get the best of the best . Unfortunately that didn't happen. Size of the slice wasn't very big either. It was definitely edible but I was looking for Brooklyn PIZZA. Maybe it was just that particular pie. I will have to...
