FOOD BAZAAR — Local services in New York

1.I’m so glad a supermarket was opened VERY close to where I live! 2.every employee who I asked for help was friendly and helpful!! I was able to get produce that is normally hard to find in the area! I WILL BE BACK! Employees keep up the good work!

Update 5/25/25 I knocked off a star on the rating because I don’t like the return policy! (I understand every supermarket has their own individual policies but this one is ridiculous! ) I wanted to return or get store credit for an item I didn’t want. The first manager was accommodating but the second manager ( short Indian man with glasses ) was giving me “ the third degree “ with the questions to the point where I felt like I had to “ beg “ or prove my point ; he was definitely testing my PATIENCE! He was rude , rolling his eyes as I was talking to him and had no sense of good customer service… i didn’t like how he made me feel ; as if I’m a child /beneath him! the other manager chimed in and accommodated me with no problem/ he was understanding!

Because of the return policy and the unprofessional attitude from that second manager I’m not sure if I would frequent this supermarket as I liked to… other supermarkets ( Aldi, ShopRite ) have never given me a hard time...

They FINALLY opened today (5/22/25). It is absolutely amazing in there. Lots of variety. Smoothie bar, make your own ramen, hot food bar, dry aged meats and lots more. Everyone was SUPER friendly. (HOPE IT LASTS). Just a few downfalls. Definitely check your produce. My daughter and I went to check them out this morning bright and early and when we were checking the strawberries two of the packs of strawberries already had mold. The rest of them looked perfect so things happen so we overlooked those. The only other problem that we had is at the bakery section. I understand that they just opened and people are still learning but the girls behind the bakery did not know the flavors of some of the things that were there like the macarons and they didn't know the prices of them. Or how to work the computer to find the prices. We had to go through three or four different people to even find out the flavor and then to find the price. Otherwise everything was amazing. The supermarket is okay. It’s clean, huge, and almost every register in the store is open which means the checkout process doesn’t take long at all. You can find a little bit of everything in this Food Bazaar, many aisles and sections including a bakery and hot food bar (I haven’t bought anything from either yet) The grocery prices are more on the expensive side but you can catch a good sale every so often. So far so good on the freshness/expiration dates on the food and drinks 👍🏾

The major downside and reason for the 4 stars is that majority of the employees do not speak or understand English. This establishment is located in East NY, Brooklyn. It is a very large supermarket. Majority of the patrons are English speaking.
