Planet Fitness — Local services in New York

I am so over trying to get in contact with this gym. Since September I have been contacted them about an account being created, me receiving an email saying there was an error with my payment and it didn’t go through so I just didn’t try again at that gym. Months went by and I started to notice they were charging me every month for about 4 months and the yearly fee. I called and had went in person and they took evidence ( screenshots) and all yet I still never received a refund or any information about this. I even emailed for a follow up on the refund and still NOTHING. All they did was cancel the account that never went through on my end but supposedly did theirs since they could continue charging me. I spoke to both a normal employee and the manager, Julian when I went in person. Waste of my time/ money and I already go to a different gym. These are childish games… where is the professionalism? It is not about the money, it is about doing your job especially if you tell me this happens to people and it gets...

I'm not sure exactly why the owner/management decide to collect an enrollmtent fee (even if it was just $1). The fact that so many individuals bank account information has been collected is very problematic especially since those of us who signed up months ago have not heard a peek or received any apologetic email notifications pertaining to the inconvenience or lack of updates. What is beyond problematic is the fact that Google continues to update this locations progress but according to the associates, no one at the location knows who is updating their web information. I just want one day of understanding and fairness to happen in the black communities so we don't have to think or speak of unjust dealings. At least update the website with information because remember without the members this location won't survive a year in this community. I’ve not to long ago started my gym journey and this is my first time catching someone recording people in the gym. Yes. This old man was recording and he was walking up to the area other woman were working out. I said “Are you recording” he shook his head no. But when I seen the phone, sure enough the back camera was on and recording. The red counting thing was at the top. I told the employees at the sight I showed them who he and they went with my sister. I was to uncomfortable to approach him cause it made me uncomfortable because I already knew it was in his phone. My sister argued with the man and he was being very discriminatory to her saying things like why would I want to record you you’re fat in Spanish. This old fat man having the nerve. The employee shook his hand. Came back to me shook mine like it was somehow resolved saying “If he does it again he will be kicked out.” Why does it always have to happen again?
