More visiting out of curiosity, all strains sold here must be grown in New York 🤷🏽‍♂️

The budtender was friendly and helpful explaining the NY state system rules, and I appreciate her honesty about not having tried the “featured flower” from Upstate Retreat, that is on their website. Not only is it featured but it’s also the best price for an eighth of flower. They are not allowed to open it and if they did I might not have bought it. Upon first impression it doesn’t look or smell like anything. It’s small buds and has a lot of sticks. It kinda looks like some Reggie Miller. Once you get past the appearance it’s very sticky and crushes decent but the sticks prove formidable. Honestly the effect saved this from being a waste of money because even at a low percentage of THC this flower gets me pretty high. I can feel it coming on after the first 1-2 pulls and then I’ll let it go out bcz it’s done its job. In their defense tho she did try to persuade me towards more attractive strains but many start around fifty dollars an eighth. They are neatly displayed in glass boxes with tops that twist slightly open to allow you to smell but honestly I couldn’t tell much from that sniff test. It's okay it's ran professionally but I wish it was more transparent I don't like the part where they have to disappear for a while and come back with your stuff I like to see when you're digging my flowers from... I don't know if it's me but it seems like it's not even potent when it comes to the medicinal 🤔 another thing I don't like about dispensaries because it's legal it wants taxes fees and other things that add up to more than what you wanted to spend🤬 and dang that's not talk about tipping after that it makes you just want to resort back to the street weed... But I'm not maybe I need to try another dispensary to see if it changes my opinion because my smoke is just like my food I want to see what...

I’m usually more into edibles, but I wanted something new. I ended up walking in while O was there, and I’m so glad I did. He really took his time, made me feel comfortable, and helped me find exactly what I needed; no pressure, just good energy.

What he recommended is hitting just right. It’s doing everything I wanted it to. Super chill, super professional, and just easy to talk to. The whole vibe in there was sooo welcoming too; even though I didn’t really know what I was doing, nobody made me feel weird about it.
