After looking at the good reviews online I am sorry to say that my Wife and I were disappointed. Unfortunate based on our experience the reviews were over-rated. My wife ordered a Dirty Martini and then we ordered our dinner. My Wife appreciates a well-made Dirty Martini. Their martini arrived without any Olives. For those not familiar with Dirty Martinis, it is served with Olives, two the least. At tasting the Martini my Wife protested that it was not a Dirty Martini and the Waitress took it back and suggested she was a bar tender at another place and she was just hired at this place. She offered to make the Dirty Martini herself. At a normal restaurant with good service, this should have been a quick trade. Our salad arrived and we were done eating our salad. However it was 15 minutes later and there was no Martini replacement. My Wife walked over to the waitress to inquire about the Martini, the waitress apologized and said that the Head Waiter assigned her to another table to take that order. After another 5 minutes passed the Head Waiter came over to our table with excuses. We explained to the Head Waiter that 15 minutes was a long time for what should have been a quick trade. His response was a lot of push back and a load of excuses as opposed to providing a solution. In addition he threw his co-worker/waitress under the bus by blaming her. I thought that was unprofessional. It should have been brought to the Bar Tender's attention but behind the scenes and not at our table. I interrupted him and asked to see the Manager. He replied that the manager was not present. He was adamant with his excuses and provided no solution. When I protested that I did not want to hear excuses his reply was, "What do you want me to do?" Unfortunate with a reply like that my Wife and I got up and we left the premise. We did not wait for the food we had ordered. Everyone take notes: Restaurant Customer Service 101 - the right thing to do is that the restaurant staff need to provide a solution to correct a mistake they made and try to comfort the paying customer and not argue with the a paying customer with a...
Read moreOK y'all this ones gonna be a long one. I am so so happy I found this lil hidden in plain sight gem! We went for bae's birthday and let me tell you this place did not disappoint! From when we walked in we were amazed at the instant vibe. It's a wonderful size restaurant and beautifully decorated. There were a few people but it was fairly empty and our waitress told us we could pick our own seats. We opted to sit as close to the fireplace area as possible. I mentioned to our wonderful waitress that it was bae's birthday and she smiled and winked at me. From beginning to end our waitress was perfect! She showed the right amount of attention to us without being overbearing and annoying. She took her time explaining the menu and drink menu. (We're always looking for the strongest drinks on the menu lol)The menu has something wonderful for every one's price range. I went with the lamb chops and brussel sprouts(y'all know how much I love the sprouts) bae went with the salmon and veggies with mashed potatoes. While waiting for our food the bartender came over with complimentary glasses of Rose(idk if they do that all the time so don't go there expecting it and being mad at me if they don't lol) and it was dry and delicious we were pleasantly shocked lol. Then the food came and everything was perfectly seasoned and phenomenal! They really show you love and take care of you in there! They have happy hour from 4-7 so needless to say we will def be checking that out very soon! While we were sitting and talking the waitress came by and asked if we wanted to take pictures by the piano(insert happy face) she even remembered it was his bday and brought him a complimentary piece of cheesecake which was also delish and sang him happy birthday all by herself. This place is a ten out of ten! Run don't walk to Home...
Read moreService was terrible but they will still charge auto grat at 20%?! Please beware! The food was very decent, but for the long wait and price, it is not worth it.
Came to check out a new Bronx business and was sad to see how subpar the service was. We ordered all of our food immediately and had to wait over half an hour for the wings and pork belly app. Then another 45 minutes for medium rare filet and strip steak, the filet was butterflied when no one asked for it to be, no proper steakhouse would do this to guests. The entire time, our waiter came to our table just twice, once to pack our food to-go and then to charge my credit card. That was when I found out that there is an automatic gratuity of 20% when I saw the term 'additional tip' above the signature line. I had to ask him to confirm, our waiter couldn't drop an itemized receipt nor let us know verbally that there was already a gratuity. Guess he was expecting to be tipped extra? I work in the hospitality industry and I simply think that this is very greasy behavior for a new business that made us wait over an hour for our food. There are growing pains to all new businesses, I understand, but to force gratuity on your guests, let alone 20% is...
