Firstly I would just like to say I don't even write reviews to begin this is my first one. I am writing this to warn people to save them from what I had to experience. If I could give this place a negative star review I would. I rarely get my nails done only for special occasions. This by far is one of the worst nail salons I have ever been to in my entire existence on this earth. The day before my mother came to the salon with me and we asked about the prices they told me 28 dollars for feet and 50 for hand I wanted French tip at the time but changed to French Ombre. I came in today 12/1/2021, I get my feet done the lady who is doing my feet doesn't speak English well so I can't understand a word she's saying to me but shes like do I want some deluxe pedicure (they basically rub like product on your legs and feet and then wash it off etc. After she prepped my feet she put on gel polish. She was talking about 10 dollars and than 8 dollars extra. I really didn't think nothing of it because i expected it to be cheap. (Come to find out its 40 dollars just for gel) After I'm done I go to Sean. (Yes i remembered your name)I got square acrylic nails they were short because I don't like long nails. This man did not even clean my cuticles or push they back for that part. He basically flooded my cuticle beds with acrylic, and made a whole mess around my fingers. He put to much top coat on and got it on the sides of my fingernail and got some acrylic on some of my fingers and didn't even bother to clean it off. Just to tell me to wash my hands and it will come off. I've never been so disappointed in my life i got my nails done because im taking graduation photos on 12/3/2021 and i wanted to look nice and this is how i get treated. If not that to make it worst they charged me 58 dollars for the feet and then 70 for the hands. In total i had to pay 128 dollars for horrible service. Of course I left without giving a tip. Then like maybe 15 minutes later my mom came back with me to the salon and literally had to get a little loud to get these people to fix my nails which SEAN barely even fixed and had an attitude after. I have social anxiety I don't like conflict, I shouldn't have to tell a nail tech how to properly take care of nails.

I’ve been coming here for years and exclusively saw Cindy. She was professional which I appreciated. A while ago, she told me there would be an extra charge to cut my nails, I said fine. Then she said there would be an extra charge due to the shape of my nails again, I said fine. During my last visit, I was charged an additional $5 on top of what I usually pay. When I asked why, she said it was because my nails were “long.” I’ve kept my nails the same length for years; they’re not exaggeratedly long, so this didn’t make any sense. I spoke with the manager and he immediately sided with me. He looked at my nails and removed the $5 charge. He was fair and respectful and I appreciated his honesty. What was disappointing was that Cindy was trying to nickel and dime me after years of loyalty. I always said yes when prices changed or when she informed me upfront about extra charges but this crossed the line. You don’t take advantage of long-time customers like that. If prices have changed or there are new policies, tell me upfront don’t wait until after the service to tack on unexplained fees. Especially when they are made up. I’ve always liked the managers and front desk staff but because Cindy tried to take advantage of me after years of loyalty and after I had even given her double the tips when she told me she was slow, I can’t keep supporting this business. It’s frustrating and disappointing. There aren’t many options in the neighborhood so I hope others have a better experience especially if you’re working with Cindy.

I'm in town visiting and decided to get a gel manicure and basic pedicure. My feet are pretty callous free but I still took her recommended callous remover. She didn't mention that it was an extra charge but I am assuming it was. My pedi was over quicker than all of the other ladies I sat down with, which confirmed that my pedi lady was rushing through it, though it was not crowded in the salon. She rubbed up and down my leg for the massage portion of the pedicure twice, ALONG THE BONE. I was grateful when after the two strokes she ended the obligatory 'massage.' My gel manicure was fine. When I got to the register I was told it was $63. When I asked for a breakdown I was told $31 & $32. Not sure which was $31 and which was $32. I was still a bit confused as that seems high for a basic pedi and gel nail polish. I asked for the price list but there isn't one. I paid with a card and as they stuck it in the machine the lady said $65.38. I asked "is there an extra charge for using your card?" She said yes but the receipts were already coming out. I noticed there was no tip option so I asked if I could tip on the credit card and she said no cash only. As I reviewed the signage behind them, I said, "if I would've known that I would've just paid with a $100 bill." So, no signage, poor communication and high prices for a basic service. You be the judge!

This is one of the worst nail salons I have ever been to. I am a licensed nail technician from Jacksonville, FL. I came here with my boyfriend and two other friends as a walk in. The initial experience was nice. They pointed us to were the price wall was and then began seating us. This is where it went down hill. The technicians would not allow all four of us to sit together when there were CLEARLY four open seats together for all of to sit I basically had to argue with my technician to even sit by my own boyfriend. The communication between the client and the technician was next to none. The only verbal communication was them MUMBLING to us if we wanted to upgrade our services. We could barely understand what they were saying (Yes, I understand that there is a language barrier, but you can at least SPEAK UP and do your best to speak clearly.) There was a point during my boyfriend's service where his technician drew blood because she was trying to remove an ingrown toenail. I am not sure if any of the technicians are aware but, taking out someone's ingrown toenail as a nail technician is ILLEGAL, ESPECIALLY IF DONE WITHOUT YOUR CLIENT'S CONSENT. Afterwards, she proceeded to call him a baby. With my pedicure, one of the technicians took out that cheese grater looking thing and started using it on my foot. I asked her to stop and she tried to do it anyways. I told her no MULTIPLE TIMES until i had to disclose that I am a nail technician and I do not feel comfortable letting her or any of her coworkers to use that thing on me or my friends and boyfriend. Once I mentioned that I was a nail tech, the woman working on my boyfriend said "So that's why you wanted to sit next to him." What is that supposed to mean? I mean, she couldn't even alert my boyfriend that he was bleeding, she tried to cover it up by putting alcohol on his toe and the liquid stop. He had to find out on his own that he was even bleeding. In the end, my boyfriend cancelled the manicure he had scheduled because he didn't feel safe to get his nails done anymore. I am definitely going to make sure that my friends in Harlem don't have...

I went there this morning literally 30 mins after opening of business day . The shop was empty with the exception of one pedicure in progress . I went to the reception desk to inform of what services were needed . I told the young lady I had just come two weeks ago and my nails had already began to pull up and come off with a fresh full gel set . I was told to go to Linda which was so ironic as I had the same tech two weeks prior . I wasn’t upset because although my nails came off and pulled up early I did like the shape of my nails and how she painted . Linsa begins my nails and advises me to go shorter stating due to having longer nails was the reason my nails did not last also informing me my own natural nail beds are too thin . Linda begins and cuts my tips shorter than I like . Being that she is the nail tech and advised for shorter nails I obliged skeptically. As she began to file I just couldn’t bare it as I can usually tell from that part alone whether or not I will be happy with my nails . At this point I didn’t want her to continue working on nails I didn’t like and it was still early enough to start again . I told Linda and she immediately got upset telling me idk what’s wrong and no I will not do it , you can go to someone else . I was appalled because I wasn’t being rude , nasty or volatile as other customers tend to get . I don’t see the need in that . She became very rude and nasty and speaking in her language amongst the other techs. I asked for the manager countless times and was ignored . Within the last 5 years I and family members of mine have went there off and on and never complained about their prices although they use cheap products but charge you the good product price . My experience today was so disheartening and I will never go back there. If you are a Nail connoisseur I advise against coming here . Yes it is a nice shop but it’s not worth it . As soon as something goes wrong their customer service becomes...
