We had a brilliant 4 night stay in the John Lennon room. Michelle is fantastic host, incredibly friendly with a great knowledge of New York. ||||The whole accomodation was spotlessly clean throughout and well equipped with free WiFi and hot drink facilities we (as English travellers we found the kettle a rare and welcome treat in US hotels!). Our room was a good size with a very comfortable double bed, lovely private bathroom and plenty of wardrobe space. ||||Although our room was at the front of the house we weren't disturbed by any noise from the street at all and slept soundly every night. The other two rooms are at the back of the house so I'd imagine even quieter. We also used the tap in the shared bathroom to fill up the kettle so can confirm that was as clean as everywhere else.||||Michelle's is very well located, maybe a 20 minute subway ride from central Manhatten on the red line express train. The area is also very safe and we walked back from the subway every night without a problem.||||We spent two weeks in the US on this trip and without doubt Michelle's was the best place we stayed. 100% recommended...

I loved my stay and will be back again for sure! Chez Michelle's is a charming home that is meticulously kept and offers guests a surprisingly quiet neighborhood close to main train stations that get you to midtown Manhattan in under 15 minutes. Michelle is a lovely hostess who is a fountain of information on where to eat and visit in Harlem, everything from Gospel mass to jazz hangouts and speak easy establishments. During the summer heatwave I was happy to have a working AC in my room! I especially enjoyed her typical French breakfast in the garden. She is very friendly and helped me in all sorts of ways. I will gladly...
