I went tonight to make a reservation for my brothers 25th Birthday for a party of 15. I initially called on Tuesday and on this first call I was told if I reserved before 4pm there was no deposit and that any reservation made after 4pm would be a $300 deposit which would be credited toward the bill. On Wednesday I called to make the reservation and to still offered to pay the $300 to confirm the brunch party and table location. I was told that I needed to come into the facility to make the deposit which I would get back upon my arrival for the event. I was told specifically that I could get my money back when my 15 participants arrived. Today I arrived to the facility around 6pm requesting to make the reservation, which then I am told the deposit is a $300 Non refundable deposit , which is just to reserve the space. I am utterly confused at that point and had to cancel the whole reservation. They really expected me to give them $300 to reserve the space in addition to what my party will spend on the reservation date. I really felt like I was being judge and charged unfairly. I asked the manger to show me a contract that stated this policy and she couldn't stating the policy was changed a month ago. I asked if there was anything in writing, she stated she could give me a receipt. No ma'am because you won't get my money or my service. Needless to say I booked somewhere else with no issue. I hope they truly get on one accord with their reservation policy and to the manger who tried to up...

I went here with a couple friends after work for happy hour.

On the positive side of the experience, they have bottled beers for $3 each, a pretty good deal. We enjoyed a few in their outside seating area, was nice and not too crowded. The servers were friendly.

The negative part of the experience involved their pastry section. One of my friends went to take a look at the pastries, asked what one item was and when the person working at the counter asked him if he wanted it, he said he was going to check with me and my other friend first. We told him we didn't want anything and we all continued sitting. A few minutes later, they came with a serving of the bread pudding. Even though we never actually ordered it, we accepted it.

I went to take off a piece and noticed what looked like almonds. I'm deathly allergic to tree nuts so I asked my friends if they tasted any nuts in their piece. They said no but I went to check with the people working behind the counter to be sure. Two women said they didn't know and a third woman came and assured me that there weren't any nuts in it. I went back to our table, looked at the bread pudding again, and decided to err on the side of caution and not eat it. After my friends took a few more bites, they said I was right and there were almonds.

So basically, If I would've listened to and trusted the woman, I could've died or at least gone to...

My husband and I were at this establishment last night. After being seated by my server Keisha P, we had an extra long wait, just to put in the order. After waiting for the order for almost a hour, I was served the wrong dish, never mind that still have not received the utensils yet. When I spoke to our server and explained to her that this was not what I ordered, she said I don’t know why they would bring this over to your table. After waiting again, I finally received my food, I wanted to make sure I received my food first, and at this time I explained to her that she was the one who brought the wrong dish over to my table. My husband ordered Curry Lamb, which was lacking of meat,he received rice and gravy and two large bones which had no meat on it. My husband did say the rice and gravy was delicious and I also had Catfish strips that was delicious, that’s where the one star āļø came from. After taking sooo long for my Lamb with exotic rice I decided to get it to go, when I decided to eat it there was also a shortage of meat, I was disappointed in myself for not checking before I left, especially after seeing my husband only had two bones. Last of all but not least we had to keep asking for a refill of water, which we didn’t receive until we received the check. The food is delicious, The service has a...

The collard greens were really good. The lamb curry and rice was so so good that i would eat here EVERY time i visit New York The staff was awesome, the prices was right, and the portions were large. The lamb Curry was season so well and had a great spice to it not too hot but just right so that I did not have to add any salt pepper hot sauce or anything to it it was perfect just as is with potatoes and carrots. The collard greens were season as well they were very good and tender not too soft but just the right crunch. The rice was still leafy not stuck together smushy or too hard. The lobster mac and cheese was great cheesy not overcooked or undercooked. The first time I went to this location it was very comfortable cozy just right. The second time I went to this location it was still real cozy except I think it was gumbo season because there was a seafood smell in the air. I will still chip choose this location the next time I go to New York from Dallas Texas.

The outside of the restaurant is not being kept clean . The manager only hoses down the entrance area and not the whole curbside of the bussiness. He has groups of people and does not hose down and clean the whole curbside. There is a rat problem and they put their garbage out. Now the homeless addicts are setting up in on their premises with stolen merchandise hanging up clothes on the poles and the bussiness does not say a thing this. This is very unprofessional and unsanitary. And does not look good for the community. I’m Disappointed and the Spanish manager is very arrogant and does not listen. You are in black community respect the people who live here who are telling you about the problems. Fix the issues that’s how you work with the community.

Happened upon this gem with a friend after Pride! It’s been a while so don’t quote but the vibes, the crowd, and the music was amazing! I was loving the energy. The menu was a little overwhelming to me because I wanted something different but all my friends were having seafood. I chose Yassa Poisson Chicken and I made the best decision. It was straight fire! The flavor was out of control! I wanted to go right back but unfortunately not longer hung with those friends and couldn’t remember the name of the restaurant! I have since figured out the ingredients and taught myself how to make it but I will never forget what inspired me and the experience. I definitely recommend and need to go back!
