GameStop — Local services in New York

This was Such an awkward and embarrassing moment that I have to write about this experience

I went into this gamestop as they were the only location that had a game I was looking for. I browsed for a couple mins and entered the line. The rep behind the counter was helping a person and two other men were on line. He sounded like he was on the phone with a Co worker who was buying pokemon cards via some old man (maybe coworkers dad?)

I waited on line for almost 10mins and then the cashier gets my attention and says

"after the two in front of you I'm not taking anymore customers and closing the store"

I told him I wasn't interested in pokemon cards and I just wanted a game. I even point at it.

He said sorry and to come back in an hour as he didn't get a break yet. I was confused as I was standing on line long enough for him to have said something earlier or even when I was entering or browsing the store. I understand they have to eat but why is there not another person to take over? Or why couldn't he take a break after me?

I tell him again I'm not some reseller or scalper trying to get pokemon and that I traveled 35mins to get to the location and he said I could just go sit in Starbucks.

I didn't want to cause a scene but it was incredibly embarrassing and awkward to have to just leave.

If someone at corporate reads this and doesn't believe me check your tapes from 2:05-2:16 awful experience. Again I understand people have to eat but shutting a store down makes...

Good store overall and good staff overall. Had an issue with the way I was attended. The employee that helped me was an assistant manager as his tag read. I asked to get fallout 76 brand new. He proceeded to get the game and I asked him to let me see the cover of it to see if there was anything that caught my interest. He extended the game to me but wouldn't let it go so I can could fully analyze it. I thought that was weird but maybe it was a policy of theres although I haven't had this issue at any other gamestop. After I agree to buy the game he rings me up and I see that he added a protection policy without my permission. I tell him to take it off as I only wanted the game. After I left i realized and felt as though he was stereotyping me because of the way I looked. I have various visible tattoos and immediately after I left I realized he didn't let me see the game because he assumed I might try to take it without paying. There was a customer in front of me who was with his son and he was very courteous to them but very cold and a succinct with me. I ended up returning the game because of the service. The game was also cheaper on Amazon but I ended up not even buying it and I returned the game the same day. I highly recommend gamestop retrain this assistant manager or replace him. I have been to this store various times before and haven't...

Worst experience ever here. I went one day and I was told the system was down for returning games and systems. I return following day the staff member says they cant accept a trade in because I hadnt logged out of my accounts and restored the system to like new. However, the costumer service agent told me that incorrect that actually delays a trade in somehow. I returned a third time and the store gates were down saying they were going on break until 3pm and it was about 2pm. I then drove to the Astoria location and I was then told their system was down for trade ins. I drove back to Woodside and waited until 3pm til they reopened. Upon entering the dude at the register glimpsed into my bag said he wasnt going to take any of it. He dismissed me and I asked for a manager he said that the manager only comes in every other Saturday and he doesnt know the manager name. He was extremely rude which the guy during the week warned me that the guy on weekends likes giving a hard time. That part was in fact true. He dismissed me and refused to take the trade in despite two days before it was acceptable except that I hadnt logged off the system when i returned it. This place is the worst and to top it off he was talking to me in this disrespectful manner in front of my wife...
