I was in search of a nail salon for a mani and pedi. I saw this place on google and figured I’d give it a try as it had pretty high ratings. This salon has a relaxing ambience and the staff were polite. I was offered tea or water upon sitting in the chair in preparation for my pedi. I’m not too sure how sanitary this place is! As I was about to get my pedicure, I noticed there was a piece of hair floating in the water that clearly wasn’t my hair along with what looked like residue from whatever . As I told the young lady before I stuck my toes in the water she just proceeded to swipe the hair away. So I inquired was this ( basin/tub) sanitized prior she says oh I’ll do it again. As she did sanitize the area she attempted to start my pedi with the same gloves she just finished cleaning with! (As I politely corrected that, this yet another strike ) Once my area was actually sanitized, I watched as other people got pedicures and the next person hop right into the seat without the area being sanitized. Pre and post pandemic this is a no no for me! Overall once the sanitizing situation was taken care of, my mani and pedi was good and I didn’t feel rushed. I really want to like and recommend this place to my friends and family but they need to do better at sanitizing and not just rinsing things out and or off in...
Read moreStopped in with my sisters to get our nails done with no appointments. Not only did they get us in quickly, but they have done an amazing job cultivating a relaxing and restful environment to really treat and spoil you. While my fingernails were drying, they not only did the hand and arm massage, but they massaged my shoulders and took about 3 weeks of stress out. It was so good, that while I was waiting for a chair to open up for my pedicure, I got a ten minute chair massage. I almost fell asleep. I get frequent massages, and I normally wouldn't expect a chair massage to be so amazing, but it was exceptional. I felt like a warmed ball of wax in their hands. The Milk and Honey pedicure was so relaxing and felt amazing on my skin. This is now gonna be a mandatory stop whenever I come to Brooklyn to visit my family.
*As a side note, I really liked how they set timers for all the massage parts of the experience. Most places don't do that and therefore the massage times can vary dramatically from client to client and stylist to stylist, but this was a nice way to show consistency to the customer so you knew you were being treated equitably.
*Update ~ 5 months later and they were just as amazing as before. Their chair massages are to die for, if you haven't tried them, you...
