----- Update ----- Owner reached out to me. He has been in business for decades and cared about his customer's experience.
With a sincere explanation, we worked out a very reasonable remedy. I think he went out of his way relative to fix a bad situation.
Can't change what happened, but I'd do business here again.
5 star for the owner and how he wants to conduct business. Less 1 star for the original experience.
----- Original ----- Today was my third time using Gifted NYC to put a vinyl graphic on clothing. This time, I brought in a hoodie and one of the same graphics I've used in the past.
Got to their shop at on 7th Avenue at 2 pm and there were 2 other customers already there. But the employee was really inefficient and under trained. Took 45 minutes to print the first customer's SINGLE t-shirt. Took another 1.25 hour to print the second customers three shirts (all same design).
At that point, despite the fact that I had waited 2 hours, the employee asked me to come back in 30-45 mins so that they could clear our some phone orders that were due. Why they didnt tell me that 2 hours earlier made my jaw drop.
I hate when people are rude to retail employees, so I politely grabbed a slice of pizza nearby and came back. It was finally my print jobs turn. But the employee ended up MELTING the zipper of my hoodie when putting on the vinyl decal.
I get mistakes can happen, but the employee was clearly poorly trained not to be aware of the damage the ironing would do to the zipper. Or she just didnt care. Totally ruined a $140 performance hoodie.
I love that this shop exists in the Village. But I just am stunned at the poor communication, inconsideration of customer time, and utter lack of skill / care
Now I'm going to have to take it to my dry cleaner and spend ~$50 or so to get the zipper replaced. Sadly, I cannot get my...
Read morebro. WORST PLACE EVER. i don't know how this place got the high reviews that it did, because my experience there was beyond terrible. The initial communication was great - I sent in designs, order details and we went and got a sample to make sure we liked how it looked. They promised shirts within a week. 6 weeks later we still don't have our full order of shirts that we ordered. Not only that, but the shirt qualities are inconsistent – the ink is already leaking and the screen print quality sucks. throughout these 6 weeks we consistently went to the store to try to pick up the rest of the shirts, and every single time they would either have made 0 additional shirts, or a very small amount of shirts (less than 10) have been made. If this place used to be great, whoever they have working for them and managing has ruined any resemblance of customer service and quality standard. This has greatly impacted my business, as these shirts were a critical part of my branding. They have wasted my money and more importantly, my time. DO NOT GO HERE unless you want a...
Read moreReading the reviews, maybe I should have taken the drive to NYC to pick up my shirts. ordering on the website has been a nightmare for me. I ordered 2 T shirts on 8/26.. received a confirmation email on 9/8 with a tracking number that states that USPS has not received the package and it will update when they have the package. here we are 9/20 and I still do not have my shirts nor an update from the post office. sent 2 emails to the info email and was told that my package was put on a mail truck and may have gotten lost, give them a couple of days and they may have to replace my order. this is bad online business I must say. going forward I will continue to use my local girl to print shirts out for me. tried to support a local company and that did not work at all.
STILL WAITING ON MY PACKAGE 6 DAYS WILL BE A MONTH. (of course they are going to say we only count...
