My daughter was so excited to come here for her birthday. We took the train 40 minutes specifically just to come to the store. She found a hoodie that she loved and tried it on-when we went to go pay for it The lady at the register did not give us the one that she tried on, but instead reached for one behind her and put it in the bag. I paid with my debit card and when she asked me if I wanted a receipt, I said no⦠after walking a bit my daughter went to put on the hoodie and noticed there were a few stains around the collar. We made our way back to the store where my husband was told they cannot take it back. To be clear we did not want to return the item but instead to get one workout dark brown stains. Once I explained that we wouldāve never been able to see the stain since she put a hoodie in the bag and not the original one tried on. After arguing about this she finally agreed to exchange it but requested a receipt. I declined a receipt at checkout not knowing there is a store policy that there are no returns or exchanges without a receipt. This is not posted anywhere in their store nor was it told to us once we declined a receipt. The lady behind the counter was less than helpful and her attitude was awful. We were asking for an even exchange to take the same hoodie that she gave us back and give us one without a stain. Thatās all we wanted. She refused to help without a receipt and said there was nothing she could do. It left me with no choice, but to leave the bag on the counter and dispute it on my credit card. I feel like there was zero effort made to help. We paid $75 for this item⦠we were just in the store 40 minutes prior and I had the charge to show her on my debit card. What was meant to be an exciting bday gift for a teen who saved this store specifically turned into us leaving with nothing. The person behind the counter seemed to care less that they were losing the business. Not how you treat peopleā¦. I would not recommend this store to anyone. At the end of the the day they sold a stained sweater and didnāt do the right thing. She told us to go on their website to see the policy⦠itās a super cute store- itās unfortunate that the energy of the person behind the desk didnāt match that of the store.
