I brought my wedding rings here to be soldered together and made sure to speak with the owner about my concerns regarding the inlay. He assured me that the work would be simple and could be done without any damage. Unfortunately, when I picked up my rings, they were mangled and destroyed.

When I tried to address the issue, the owner was dismissive and condescending, even telling me my wedding rings were “worthless” and suggesting he replace the inlay with something else. What should have been a simple repair turned into a heartbreaking experience.

The situation only changed when my husband came with me—suddenly the tone shifted and the owner was willing to speak more respectfully. As a Black woman married to a white man, I cannot ignore the difference in treatment.

Ultimately, we had to send my rings to another jeweler and pay $550 out of pocket to repair the damage. After going back and forth, this store only reimbursed us $200, leaving us to cover the majority of the cost for their mistake.
