The swapping of shopping carts is truly annoying. It is Aldi's practice that your purchases are put into the cart left by the previous shopper, and your cart is then given to the person behind you, and so on. The annoying part is that some carts are defective. Cracked wheels, carts hit by a truck and the entire cart wobbles as you push it, wheels that are locked, defects and problems galore. To top it off, you put a quarter in to use the cart, then you are given a cart with no quarter. Aldi claims it is so the cashier can start ringing up items, however that rarely happens. Great food n prices. If you want some good eggs, you need to get up early or you can't find any. The food quality is great. I love visiting Aldi's, cause it carries not only food, but other interesting merchandise n good quality season items for your house, children clothes, toys, chairs ete. Sorry for Stop n Shop, but Aldi's has more happy customers. Even the quality of the meats, chesses dairy products, fruits veggies are better. At this specific moment in Time, Aldi and Dollar tree seem to be the only places and that you can get any groceries or certain items at what would be considered inexpensive or reasonable prices. Gun Hill Commons is the perfect place to do shopping of the sort, flushed with parking, yet not overly crowded.
