Man...Jerry's Jerk Chicken Food Truck brings the bold and vibrant flavors of Jamaica to the streets of the Bronx with its mouthwatering jerk chicken dishes. As you approach the food truck on Gun Hill Road, the aroma of grilled meats and fragrant spices immediately captures your attention, drawing you in for a flavorful experience.
The star of the show is, without a doubt, the jerk chicken. Each piece is marinated to perfection in a blend of aromatic spices, including scotch bonnet peppers, allspice, thyme, and garlic. The result is tender, juicy chicken with a fiery kick that lingers on the palate. Whether you opt for the leg, thigh, or breast, each bite is bursting with smoky and savory flavors that make your taste buds dance with delight. The pork is equally as delicious.
Jerry and his Jerk Chicken Food Truck also offers a variety of sides and accompaniments to complement their signature dish. The festival, a Jamaican-style cornmeal fritter, is a must-try. Its crispy exterior and soft, fluffy interior provide a delightful contrast to the spicy chicken. The creamy and cooling effect of the coleslaw adds a refreshing element to balance out the heat, while the rice and peas serve as a satisfying base for all the flavors to come together.
One of the highlights of the food truck experience is the friendly and welcoming service. The staff at Jerry's Jerk Chicken Food Truck are not only passionate about their food but also eager to engage with customers, providing recommendations and ensuring that each order is prepared to perfection. The wait time can vary depending on the crowd, but the tantalizing aromas wafting from the food truck make it well worth it.
One aspect that could be improved upon is the seating options. As a food truck, Jerry's Jerk Chicken primarily operates as a take-out or grab-and-go establishment. While there may be limited seating available nearby, it would be ideal to have a designated area for customers to sit and enjoy their meals comfortably.
Overall, Jerry's Jerk Chicken Food Truck delivers a spicy and satisfying culinary experience. From the flavorful and fiery jerk chicken to the delectable sides, each bite is a burst of authentic Jamaican flavors. With its friendly service and affordable prices, Jerry's Jerk Chicken Food Truck is a must-visit for those craving a taste of Jamaica on the go.

I will say this: the chicken is really good. Well seasoned, the jerk sauce (I got the mild; it was on point).
This is my beef with this truck: I only got chicken. I still was charged $15 for what they considered a medium. I would think just for chicken, I would have gotten more, and the price may have been less. Yall, it was a mini size carton I got. The same mini's you get as a lunch special at some of the Caribbean restaurants. Again, the chicken is good, but for that size only for chicken, it's not worth $15. I know there is inflation. A size like that would run about $7 to $10 depending on where you go. They are good, but I can't do it again. I will spend my money for good food to get my money's worth, but definitely not $15 for a mini plate of chicken. $15 mini oxtail, I can see the high price, but not for chicken. Again, I am...
Read moreJerk chicken - delicious. Jerk pork - amazing. Rice and peas - best I’ve had…I’ll sit at home thinking about it sometimes lol. $20 for a large jerk chicken, $23 for large jerk pork….Good quantity of food and definitely enough for two meals if you have an average appetite. They have both mild and spicy sauce, and both are delicious and flavorful. I’ll usually get some of both, but the spicy version is definitely doable unless you have a very low spice tolerance. I just wish they were around 7...
