Shake Shack Bay Plaza — Restaurant in New York

If i can give NO star ill be glad to but unfortunately im forced to give one. Yesterday (8/29/22) I placed my order at 6:35pm but to be picked up at 7pm. because i knew i was going on lunch at 7pm. I received a text at 6:58pm stating that my order is almost ready to head over. I get there 7:05pm. I stood at the window for soooo long no one even acknowledged me i did the “wave” thing to get someone’s attention and still no one acknowledged me. I proceed to head inside & try to tell the girl who was at the register im here to pick up my order and with an attitude of course she replied well u have to go back outside. She was nasty about the way she said it. So i went outside and another young lady than came over and helped me. She could not find my order. So she hands me another order after checking my confirmation wen i go to sit down to enjoy my food. It was the WRONG order. I than head back inside to tell her. She says she will remake my order for me. So i sat outside for over 20mins waiting. My lunch break is only 30mins. I put this order in way ahead of time so i can grab & go!! The time is now 7:38pm i get up to go see about my order and she goes”oh my god i forgot about you” and rushed over to hand me food that was sitting for god knows how long now since no one brought it out to me in over 30mins. I tell her its okay i just want my refund. I didnt take the food. I got my refund. & i will NEVERRR COME BACK!! I donot recommend this shake shack. It is sad to say when black people run a business it gets out of hand and so ghetto. All they were doing was worrying about they’re conversations they were having instead of serving the customers first clearing the line THEN HAVING YOUR SIDE CONVERSATION....

2025-01-1: Made a large delivery order totaling $128 on the Shake Shack app and they left out the fries from the order! Reported the issue immediately thru the app but they say I will get a response in 2-3 days! It sucks when complete reliability is not possible. The food and delivery I received was fine however. Just that Shake Shack messed up with giving my fries! sed up with giving my fries! This Shake Shack location at Bay Plaza seems to give problems every now and then.

Update 10/2/23: The food and service were excellent!

The light skinned cashier was rude and unprofessional. Her manager was rude as well. Drove all the way home and they messed up my order after the manager looked over my order! Missing cheese fries and no chicken hot dog. They gave me beef! Also, one of the cooks was not wearing a mask. I was told she was vaccinated but she could still be carrying the virus and spreading it peoples food! This all happened on 6/25/21. This was my first time back at Shake Shack, which WAS one of my favorite spots, since Jan 2020 and was happy to see this bay plaza spot open after shopping at a nearby PC Richards. I definitely will NOT be going to this location again. And yes, after calling their phone # when I got home with the food, I was given a refund. I generally prefer visit a place first before ordering from them but we ordered from here once and had no problem with the delivery including no missing items so we went by for lunch today. Thankfully, this location is nice, clean and organized and the workers are all friendly! There surprisingly wasn't a line but I think that's because we went pretty early in the afternoon. There's an outside patio seating area where you can sit to enjoy the weather. When inside you place your order and then you're given a number to take to your table if you're dining in so they can bring your food to you. I know some restaurants Try to do this but normally they'll fall off and just call the orders out for pickup. We ended up ordering: a Cheeseburger, fries, a chicken shack, two milk shakes and chicken bites. Everything was fresh and came out cooked to satisfaction. I didn't see a long line for the drive through either but I haven't tried it yet so I won't be able to speak on that as part of this experience. No need to run to the city anymore.
