JLopez Drycleaners Inc — Local services in New York

I really wanted to like this place. They did some good cleaning work, and it’s very affordable. Unfortunately, after the third time coming home with my clothes even worse than how I left them, I have to strongly advise against it.

I brought a coat in to have the sleeves shortened. It came back with a giant stitch running up the sleeve from where they apparently ripped and had to repair it. No one informed me of this additional damage and I paid full price. The stitching was somewhat covert, so I let it pass.

Later, I brought a shirt in for dry cleaning and when I came home i realized it was covered in new stains that weren’t there before. Luckily it wasn’t a great shirt so I let it pass.

I don’t know why I went back after this, but I did. Dropped a silk shirt off for standard cleaning. When I get it back, there is a staple directly into the garment. I tried removing it but of course, silk is delicate, and the staple pulled a thread and started a hole. I immediately took it back. They completely denied putting a staple in the shirt, which is wild, because I had literally just taken it out moments ago. On purpose or on accident, this was a very nice shirt and it’s now forever ruined after what was supposed to be a routine cleaning. Honestly heart breaking, and they completely denied any wrongdoing. They offered to repair it but I can’t trust them anymore.

Besides that, the female employees are very polite but the men are unbelievably rude and the older man won’t even say hello when you walk in the store and greet him. No amount of low pricing...

DO NOT bring your clothes here if you don’t want them ruined.

I’ve never had the experience of bringing clothes to a dry cleaners and have them ruined, twice. After the first time, since this is a neighborhood spot and I want to support local business, I have them another shot and this happened again. Then when they ruined another piece of clothing they essentially said it was my fault and they don’t know how the piece came in. Unfortunately, I have to go somewhere else but I wanted to warn others that they do ruin...

I've been using JLopez Cleaners for a very long time. Their services, prices and customer service are amazing. I've taken everything from pants to get fixed, laundry to be washed, dry cleaning, and even ironing and have not had any issues. I use felt hangers and every time I drop off clothes they return everything, including the hangers. All my items are usually ready before my pickup time, which is amazing for me and my busy schedule. ...
