Café Pri charmed with its friendly service and warm ambiance, making it a delightful spot for a casual breakfast. While the eggs weren't quite a showstopper, the chicken and waffles stole the show, earning rave reviews from my daughter.
Service with a Smile: The staff at Café Pri were truly on point. Attentive without being intrusive, they offered cheerful greetings, prompt refills, and helpful recommendations. It's the kind of service that makes you feel welcome and comfortable.
A Vibe That's Just Right: Café Pri had a cozy, relaxed atmosphere. Soft lighting, warm colors, and comfortable seating created a perfect haven for lingering over a morning meal.
Egg-cellent Expectations Not Met: The eggs came cooked just as ordered, but lacked a certain spark. I found them to be a bit bland and uninspired. Perhaps a sprinkle of creativity with herbs or spices could elevate them to the next level.
Chicken and Waffles to Crow About: My daughter's chicken and waffles, on the other hand, were a resounding success. The crispy chicken was perfectly seasoned and juicy, while the waffles were light and fluffy. The sweet syrup tied everything together beautifully, creating a dish that left her happy and satisfied.
Overall: Café Pri is a lovely spot for a relaxed breakfast. While the eggs weren't my personal favorite, the warm atmosphere, fantastic service, and daughter-approved chicken and waffles make it a worthy contender for a return visit. Just maybe next time I'll explore some of their other...
Read moreI was looking for a cafe or simple breakfast spot on the outskirts of Bushwick and this one popped up on google maps. The exterior is super cute! You can't miss it. Whomever designed the storefront knew what they were doing.
The hostess/barista/manager(?) was very pleasant and very accommodating. There are a lot of menu options including some interesting fried rice bowls with a distinct asian (Phillipino) influence. I had the Tapsilog bowl which was pretty solid although I didn't realize that it came with a runny egg (I'm not a fan don't judge me lol). The hostess was happy to adjust and hard fry it for me. I appreciated the effort. I washed the bowl down with some Thai iced tea.
At the time of our visit the espresso machine was still being installed but they were able to get my friend a latte instead. I'm sure they've got all of that up and running by now.
The menu is wide ranging. They've got seats out front. Alternate side parking is available. I think I'll be back to sample the rest of their options. You should come with! It's worth...
Read moreCame here for the first time today and had a fantastic experience. Food 5/5: Tried the Ube-coconut pancakes and brown sugar latte which I attached to this review. Pancakes were a flavorful and unique combination with actual coconut on top and I greatly enjoyed them and the latte was the perfect sweetness and helped me to wake up for the day.
Service 5/5: Interacted briefly with 3 different employees and all of them were pleasant, polite and working with a smile on their faces. The food and coffee came out relatively quickly too.
Atmosphere 5/5: This spot is spacious for a Brooklyn cafe! There are several tables available for you to sit at with high-speed functioning WiFi. Additionally, my favorite part of the atmosphere is that they were playing some of the best pop-punk music from the 2000’s era such as yellowcard, paramore, FoB and all American rejects! I was jamming out while enjoying my latte and pancakes.
Definitely check this place out if you want a chill spot to work on your laptop that also offers tasty...
