Junior Makeup Studio — Local services in New York

Communication regarding my appointment was easy and effortless, through WhatsApp which can be a bit unconventional but it works! I however had a terrible experience here, I hated how my makeup looked! I arrived 5 minutes late for an 11:30AM appointment (being honest), Prior to booking I asked how long the service would take knowing I was limited on time, I was told 45 minutes, that was fine. I get to my appointment I'm asked if I have an appointment I confirm I do, after 20 minutes of sitting around I ask if anyone will be available soon to do my make up as I had an appointment, I guess this should have been my 1st red flag, I finally get in a chair and the artist starts putting on the foundation, I noticed he doesn't use a new sponge, just grabs it from the counter, my face starts burning, this should have been the 2nd red flag at this point I'm committed, I proceed to let my MUA know the makeup is for a daytime baby shower it's also not even 1PM, I get the darkest thickest eyeliner, no new/clean or even disposable brushes/tools are used in any of the products used on me, they share beautiful pictures on IG, make sure if you want to look like that you book that specific artist!

Junior’s Makeup Studio deserves all of the stars! 5 stars aren’t enough to rate this fabulous makeup studio. I called Junior practically 3.5 hrs before my niece’s birthday party. Junior and his staff were able to accommodate a very last minute appointment for her. Chanel began working on her immediately after we arrived. As I waited for her, Nelson became available and asked if I wanted to get serviced. I figured might as well- I’m already here. Best decision ever! After my niece and I were done, two of my cousins saw us and got themselves beautified as well. We never felt more beautiful and got so many compliments during the party. Everyone is asking where we got our faces done and TRUST we have already spread the word. Chanel and Nelson understood what we wanted and executed it under 45 minutes. The studio is clean and beautiful decorated. What an experience! I can’t wait to go again for my next event in April and any event...
