This place was so bad, that I was actually impressed; it seemed the staff was trying extra hard to make sure my friends and I had the worst time, too bad because my great company did not let you guys ruin it but I will get into that. I actually lost track of how many things this place did wrong. Firstly, I order the happy hour nachos which was supposed to come with chicken, and I asked for no Jalapenos. They bring it with Jalapenos; I send it back and it came with no chicken. It also just had cheese sauce and no actual melted cheese, but this is a bar so I will cut some slack there. The place was so obnoxiously loud that I did not have the patience to say you got it wrong again. I ate it and it was mid, I could have made better nachos at home and I don’t even cook. Secondly, they have no diet soda at all. I had to settle with seltzer if I wasn’t drinking alcohol. Super lame not to have diet soft drinks and if I knew that ahead of time, I would not have gone. The security is another issue. My group went outside for some smokes, and we had to leave our drinks inside which is fine HOWEVER, I noticed a few people were allowed to bring their non alcoholic beverages, but the security worker gave me this whole lecture on how he will hold it for me while I am outside blah blah it will be here. I come back and the drink is gone. I tell the manager and another worker and the response was absolutely ridiculous because they said “who told you this who took it” at this point I was pissed enough to raise my voice over their music so they could hear me. They then wanted me to point out the worker that had my drink and I did not see him, there was another security guy when I came back in.... Now it is my responsibility to find the dude and say hey he tossed my drink? Also, I had to have a 5 minute dialogue with the security before going out on how I notice others have non alcoholic beverages outside, and he stood his ground like the tough guy he is and made sure I was treated unfairly so good on him. I worked at various restaurants and this is the easiest quick fix, refill my seltzer it doesn’t cost much. Check the cameras if you don’t believe me. I ended up having to almost yell and tell the man because this is too much I see blatant examples of unequal treatment here. After my drink was refilled they had to make themselves feel powerful as if they had the last word, they said fine but don’t vape in here. There were other people in there vaping that I could see. They pick and choose who has privileges and I am not okay with being told I can’t bring something outside or do something in the bar, when I see multiple people doing it. Rules apply to everyone or no one and I had to stand my ground and tell the manager you are going to refill my drink lol. It pains me that I had to act like a jerk to get the service. I am not asking for celebrity treatment, only equal treatment. I can’t fault the place too much for being loud because it is a bar, just that kind of vibe but congratulations you guys made a lot off my group that night. You failed at you're mission to ruin my night but nice try because you're efforts were noticed. This was my worst dining experience in the year 2024 at any establishment I can remember and thank goodness my peers saved the night. Tell your security guards inside and outside to wakeup and get over themselves. Normally when I leave bad reviews, there are at least a few positives to mention but I can hardly think of anything here. The only good thing is that they tried to put on the game that I wanted to watch. The did not have the channel, but I appreciate the effort because one worker tried. This is the first time ever I actually have more complaints, but I exceed the review...
Read moreI was at the lounge section last night and our group paid $20.00 each to get in, $200.00 for one bottle of liqour , and $35.00 to purchase hookahs, $15.00 per hookah refills... I WISH THE AMOUNT OF MONEY WASTED IN THERE WAS THE ISSUE.
At first the waitress offer myself and my friends a section that was seated directly above the speakers, smiling as if we were to find it cute or amusing that it was intolerably loud and uncomfortable to even have a section for seating there, which is why no one was sitting there. When we refused her first option for seating, she said everything else was reserved but the entire night went by and they still had empty tables....she then moved us over towards the exit, yes it was cold but at least I could hear myself think rather than succumb to the vibrations coming out of the speakers in that section.
My phone was stolen and because it was an Iphone i had access to a feature that allowed me to locate my Iphone and it was located as still inside the lounge when i activated the feature...( barely five minutes after it was stolen. ) NOTHING and i mean NOTHING was done by the staff inside nor outside Silhouette to rectify the situation. I was directed to the DJ after having requested assistance from various staff members. Leaving the deed to the DJ, whom made a barely audible announcement about my phone and thats about it.
Now addressing the Security Staff...if you want to experience how it would feel to interact with a CO from Riker's Island Correctional Facility ...Go here. The Security Staff was extremely disrespectful and aggressive from the entrance and scanning ID's, which by the way the scanner that they have barely works so the security was consistently scanning my ID until it finally read, twenty swipes later. ( My ID is newly reissued from the DMV and never had any issues thus far)...and on top of that they didn't scan my friends ID at all, but the security began passing it around to a couple of the security staff like they were playing hot potato, eyeing it as if it wasn't her, one of them proceeded to insist she take out something with her name on it so that she could prove her identity to them (which by the way if the scanner wasn't broken they wouldn't have had to resort to such bigotry.) Security shouldn't have a broken ID scanner at the door, its very unprofessional. Its an Identification Card, with Name, Address, DOB, Height, Eye Color, etc. They did not have to insinuate that it was not her. The security staffs machine, was cheap and broken like their way of handling business. They should have find a Resolution Department within their Security Staff because they handle themselves like bullies with security stamped to their foreheads. If they were as diligent as they thought they were in the entrance with ID's, then maybe they would have helped a customer out in finding a stolen phone that was still on the premises. The "head" security guard was ignorant, hence his staff just follows on cue.
The only way I would ever return to this "lounge" is if they call me and tell me they found my phone... If not then I would never recommend Silhouette lounge to any of my friends via social media nor...
Read moreWhat a terrible business. Yes the place is nice looking but the woman that organize the reservations up to the woman last Sunday that came up to us in the line to ask if we had reservations were extremely unprofessional.
We made reservations for 15 people to celebrate a birthday and an engagement. This was a very big milestone and silhouette failed miserably in customer service and professionalism.
We arrived before 1:15 which we were told is the latest we could arrive. We wait on line and the woman working, who was dressed very casual for a work place, asked if we had reservations. we said yes there’s 8 of us here and the rest are having a hard time finding parking. She said we will only honor 8 people because that is what was on line. She was unprofessional and rude in her mannerism. I can understand if there is protocol, but the expectations were not set correctly by the lounge. The lady was very rude and seemed very annoyed by her job and was dismissive toward us. We wait on line for 30 minutes, and once we get to the front we were told they were overbooked and could not honor our reservations.
When we asked how the man “Choco” said some people may have made reservations for 11 and showed up with 17. How thats my problem the restaurant did that I have no idea. All he kept saying was that they would have a meeting to make sure it didn’t happen again. They had no idea why or how they overbooked over 30 people.
That however doesn’t change the fact we had 15 people drive from New Jersey, pay tolls, and then be told we can’t honor your reservation.
We called multiple times to make sure we gave an accurate number of people attending. Even if we added a person or subtracted. I’ve been hosting birthdays here for the past three years in 4-5 different occasions, and it’s always something, but this was the icing on the cake.
The woman who is apparently in charge is “Natasha.” From my understanding and from what I gathered speaking with other people, this is not the first time something like this has happened. There were at least 20 other people besides our party that were turned away. That’s 35 people who had reservations and were turned away.
How can someone run a business like this? And why do the people have to have their time wasted like this and there is no repercussion or compensation for such terrible service and experience? But the lounge must not care because they were to capacity and still made their money.
My advice is until they can resolve this huge disconnect within their...
