My family and I have been eating at dale dinner since I was kid clear up until adulthood. I remember when it was movie theater before it became a restaurant. When dale first opened It was a family business owned by dale but when his son sold the business it went down hill. I knew the family everybody was always warm and kind and I never had any issues til now.
On Thursday March 17th, 2022 I placed a large order as I usually do on most days between $60-80 Breakfast, lunch & dinner. So close dinner I open shrimp parm I ordered it smelled rancid.and the shrimp tasted funny not fresh but spoiled. When it comes sea food you can get food poisioning especially if it rancid and have mother with chrons so I dont take chances. So I gave the restaurant a call and informed them. The young lady whom answered the phone let me know the my deliver ticket was lost and she didn't know how to pull it up on the computer screen I would have to talk to a manager next day somebody would call me in the afternoon, Ok.
On Friday March 18th, 2022 I called them, because it was almost 4 and nobody had gotten back to me, she put the manager on, Oh Boy did she have mouth full to say,
Manager: hhmmm hmmm So Why didn't you call right away, as soon as you got the order, Immediately 😤.
Me: I had large order, but this is not the first time I ordered this, sometimes I order the shrimp parm and eat it the next day for dinner unopened and I'm fine, this is just the first time this had happened where I opened it and it smelled rancid.
Manager: We have Tons TONS of other people who ordered the same thing that day and none of them complained only you. You waited to late should have said something sooner.
Manager: So you stuck it in the fridge as soon as you got it, because than it would be your fault because hot food into cold fridge it would go rancid.
Me: No I didn't do that not the first I ordered this and I know that because I used also work in food industry. So I'm aware you never do that yeah or cause a problem
Manager: Exactly Exactly 😤😤. So than you know that.
Me: hhhhh Are you not going credit or give a partial or full refund.
Manager: No, I can send you over another one for half price, we can't afford to lose profit, half price you'll have to compensate us for something.
WOW Im in disbelief, I now I have to give you $15 more dollars I'm like Nope Never again. Not sorry to end a long term relationship if it's no longer working, toxic people. Food is mediocre, seeing I work 6 days, 13 hours as medical professional it...
Read moreThe food from this diner is ok, but I’m leaving this review to talk about the service. I was there with two of my friends, we ate and everything and then came time to pay. One of my friends gave her card and the waiter came back and said her card didn’t go through and he tried twice. My other friend gave her card, so the waiter came, took her card, and gave it back with just one receipt without saying anything (usually they give 2-3 for the merchant and customer copy, but we didn’t think much of it). We left the diner and halfway down the block the waiter is stopping us saying that he didn’t charge the card. This was very confusing as all 3 of us saw him take my friend’s card and give it back after he said the first one didn’t go through. We informed him that he did take the card, and he said he never charged it, so what did he do with the card when he took it in the first place?? When we all went back to the diner, he still kept saying he never charged the second card, in which my friend kept saying that we saw him take the card and thought he charged it when he gave it back. I don’t know why he got mad for a mistake he made, and he didn’t even admit he was wrong or try to apologize. As mentioned in the beginning, the food was ok, definitely had stomach problems right after leaving, but be cautious...
Read moreI'm a regular that comes here, and their food is always really good. Tried a bunch of stuff on the menu, and personally, I really love the chicken marsala if you wanna treat yourself.
Another go-to menu item would be their panini's, they're always really yummy. You can always ask for extra condiments other than ketchup as well, such as sour cream, butter, etc. If you come on Tuesdays, please do try their beef barley soup! It's made fresh and served only on Tuesdays and it runs out by the evening because it's their best one. Their chocolate cake is the best dessert other than the apple pie or cheese cake they offer. Their waffle fries is really crispy and good, reminds me of chick-fil-a.
One of the workers there named Kim is always super accommodating, approachable, fast (!!!) with getting orders out, and sweet to anyone who walks through the door! She's the reason I always come back other than the food.
Prices aren't that bad in general for a diner in a busy shopping district, and overall, the quality is great compared to other diners I've been to. It's a nice spot to get something to eat, it's...
