Still on the search for a good acupuncturists. Recommend anyone? Help.
Fatigued and disheartened by unsuccessful western medicine, I came here hoping for some relief with 2 issues I was having.
I went after work, couple of hours before. Made sure I gave sufficient time.
Front desk was nice. Acupuncturist (kab jae cho) was also welcoming at first greet.
What threw me off was he only asked on the surface superficial questions, which made me confused and uncomfortable. Acupuncture looks to find the cause and for that to occur in depth patients history is required.
I thought to myself give the man benefit of the doubt. I'm sure he'll ask as we go further into our session. Besides it could be his way doing things.
As I perceived to talk further in detail of my medical and disease history he briskly cuts me off. Condescendingly speaks that he knew what was wrong with me. Perceives to tell me what I had. What? I didn't come here for a psychic. Let alone terrible one.
Spoiler alert! He treated the obvious one because it showed physically.
I was holding and gently rubbing my hands the whole time. I also told him my shoulder was hurting too. He ignored that. He didn't want to listen to my 2nd issue. Now why does a patient have to fight to discuss them blows my mind.
He put few needles in my right hand and places light lver it and tells me to relax for 10 mins. And that was it.
I wanted to get out of here. I begrudgingly stayed because session was paid for. Besides if he fixed at least some if not one of the pain I'd leave as a happy patient.
As for my hand pain. It came back later that night. Wth? Overall, my experience at Kab Jae Cho was terrible. He displayed very disppointing bedside manners and lowered standard of eastern medicine practices.
After disheartening experience at Kab Jae Cho I went back to western doctors. After couple I arrived at Mt.Sinai in the city...my shoulder was the cause for my hand pain. After few physical therapy session I was good as new! They taught me exercises I can do to leave my pain should they arise again. Fantastic!
I respect those in medical field and practices with communication skills, empathy and informative about their work. It's sad they dont require all three in all (eastern and western) fields and practices.
I appreciate good and bad reviews. It helps me out a lot. I write good reviews. With all reviews I take some time processing the experience and write them as clearly as possible. Hopefully I conveyed my experience with clarity. Writing with passion and mercurial emotions are for novels not reviews in my opinion.
Through experience I learned there are many bad/unprofessional acupuncturists and doctors out there. And one is one too many. Finding a good one is like a diamond in a ruff. Good luck everyone! Good health to you...
Read moreMy family and relatives go here for acupuncture. My parents always suggested to visit here for my back and shoulder. I first refused their suggestion (I was little scared) but the pain was getting worse. I decided to give it a try. The place was very clean and relaxing. The doctor was very professional and caring. I couldn't even tell him the most painful spot because I don't know where it hurts the most. However, he was able to find the worst spot for me. After getting acupuncture with bamboo cupping, I felt sooooo much better. Since November, I have been getting the treatment at least twice in a week. It definitely got better! Now, I can finally sleep and work well. Highly satisfied with...
Read moreWe are always grateful to the teacher who always visits like family grandfathers, when my family is sick or in need of herbal medicine.
The pain is reduced with just one acupuncture and I feel that my health is restored by being hit three or four times.
I strong recommend it. Thanks to the medicine the teacher gave me, my daughter has not caught a single cold and is growing very well. I will visit you tomorrow. I highly...
