Java Day Cafe — Restaurant in New York

It is a shame how this place really has changed. My friends and I have always been here for 2 years and I can tell you 2 years ago this place was not like how it is now. Another problem is their menu don't get me wrong it's huge but it's way too huge. I'm one hundred percent sure that if a huge flock of customers were to come in and order all kinds of food the service will be slow. Furthermore upon eating this burger (which I was kindly refunded for) did not taste good at all. As you can see by the photos I've uploaded I do not know what's going on in their freezer (I know that this is not their freezer) but this looks like a scene straight out of Kitchen Nightmares like the food that gets thrown away. Let alone the egg tasted like it's been there for a while, completely flavorless. I was told that they use fresh meat for the patty but you can clearly see its pre-made and I don't even wanna start with the bacon as well as the buns. I haven't been there during the pandemic. Had a craving for the hash brown wrap. The price on the menu online is outdated. It said it was about $10 which is what I remembered. When I got my receipt, I was shocked it cost me $17.25. That's a big price jump. Then to my disappointment it was burnt and it tasted burnt!!! The pic was taken after tasting it. I try to enjoy it but I couldn't. Even adding a lot of ketchup didn't help. On top of all that, I tipped them too not knowing it was burnt since I ordered as a take out. The person was pleasant on the phone when I ordered. I also ordered sesame bagel with scallion cream cheese with bacon. Tasted fine. That cost me $6. Cajun omelette was $7.25 with no home fries. It needed salt & pepper. Mango smoothie was delicious....

Update: This Place is Still the Best! Sweet Heart picking up the phone, not sure If I should mention employee names but you guys and lady are the Best! Sucks about inflation but Its not their fault. Gas prices go up, Vendors forced to charge higher prices, passed down to Java and other businesses like this down to us.

I used to be Java Day's.. maybe top 10 customers that called almost everyday for delivery. Due to getting abused by Dr Nick "HELLOOO.. Every Body!" My health conditions have gotten worse. I haven't been able to call often lately But when I do, the Food is Always Fresh and quick delivery! Always HAPPY when Im stuffing my face with their French Toast and other items on their menu!
