I dont even know where to begin. To start, the service at this restaurant was below par. If you are looking for a place to eat and converse with family and friends without disturbance, this is the place; the staff will NOT service you. I DO NOT recommend coming here. you could find a better bbq spot with better service somewhere near.
The service was so so so poor beyond explaining. When we asked for eggs and soup, it took multiple reminders and when we attempted to place an order we were met with more attitude. One waitress so sternly and uncomfortably reaffirmed that it was coming and told us to wait. another waitress tried to lecture us how to order to THEIR convenience. Another waitress, As they change the grill, they dropped the oil from the grill onto my shirt on the shoulder. No apologies but they just pointed it out. Not only were they inattentive, they were just flat out rude and unaccommodating.
Also, the literal atmosphere was so atrocious. Typical bbq places have good ventilation above the grill so that customers and everyone won’t smell like smoke and meat. But here, the entire restaurant was SMOKED out. It was so bad you could see the smoke fill the restaurant. They tried keeping the doors opened but that made everyone so cold. Seems like they need to invest and put the energy to fix their ventilation issue.
Speaking of the food, these Korean restaurants, we don’t expect 5-star Michelin food, but atleast the food should be average. But the food was also quite mid. The pork belly was cooked so dry and tough. I don’t know if it’s because of HOW they cooked it or if it’s the result of the quality of the meat. The marinated pork belly was all right. It was still dry but more tender than...
Read moreThe marinated pork barbecue is delicious! It has just the right amount of sweet and savoriness that makes it taste so good, and is very soft which makes it easy to eat! There are also a large variety of banchan side dishes for you to pick at and eat with your meal, as well as the steamed egg and bean paste stew.
I also get the cold noodles/spicy noodles after finishing the barbecue , and they are both equally delicious as well! It’s very chewy, and the broth is refreshing and savory, and the spicy one packs some heat, but the sauce is great. The two cold noodles compliment the hot barbecue afterwards.
The service was great, especially from the head waitress; she was very friendly and accommodating. She is very friendly and welcoming. It can get very busy and packed, especially during the lunch and dinner rush peak times, so service might be delayed and slow, which is understandable with how much effort and attention it takes for a korean barbecue. The prices are very reasonable, especially with how much the cost of everything has risen lately.
I will be frequenting...
Read moreThe restaurant was nicely decorated and clean. The food was okay, definitely not worth the price having the fact that we paid over $200. However the service was absolutely awful. I have never been so disappointed in a restaurant service. All tables that came after us were served first and when we asked to be served as well one of the ladies made an annoyed face while rolling her eyes. There was two young waitresses who seemed nice enough but the older ladies all had nasty attitudes. One in particular short in height with short hair. Asked her for a to go box and she practically threw it at my mom’s face and snatched our very generous tip off the table. She shouldn’t work in customer service if that’s her attitude towards work she chose to work and get paid for. Honestly wish we haven’t tipped so generously. Only tipped generously because of the two younger waitresses. If you want to be treated like trash while paying money for it , I suggest you to go here otherwise save your money to go...
