We are moderate muslims--and we love pools. We have been to countless pools in the city and in the country. The facelift on this site is AMAZING. Looks like a resort. Love the flowers and decor. First of all be prepared!! They are strict. First thing makes sure you have a lock. If your group is boys and girls both parties should have a lock (lockers are separated by gender). Otherwise one party will have to try to fit everything in a relatively tiny locker. Now make sure all have swimwear. I wear modest (expensive!) swimwear and had to be questioned multiple times BUT they have let me through once they look closely. I even offered to pull-up the Amazon link where it shows it's swimwear. We are regulars we go at least 3x a week yet I get questioned multiple times. I don't take offense.I understand! If you are hijabi The hijab must be white due to the chlorine in the pool and swim proof. Regular latex or silicone swim caps can be any color. They also serve lunch everyday until 2pm for kids under 18 including weekends! Who does that anywhere else in the country??
Anyone below that height or the age of 13 must have a pairing adult.
Yes my nonverbal autistic child was told he can't go in the kiddie pool due to height reasons and they did not make an exception due to his special needs.
The bigger pool is a bit under 4 feet throughout. I like the uniformity for my kids reason though i can see how others would want it otherwise.
I don't recommend coming at 11am as we waited 45min for police to come on the hottest day of the year. All the staff was there but by policy they cannot open if an officer is not on site. We are incredibly grateful to this pool. Made this scorching summer so much less expensive than constantly planning water park trips. The suburbs have their pools-- we've been to community pools in long island and Jersey but this is better due to the facelift and healthy free snacks offered. The suburbs are less strict of course but if you are prepared it's a phenomenal summer...
Read moreHorrible pool area I have ever been. I went with two kids today. Right away I can’t tell there were many rules, strict rules that I’m sure are in play for a. Reason. But this palace is micro manage and full of control freaks. And when I say this I mean from the higher up cause you can’t even blame the staff members including teenage kids that are working for there summer. I had a five year old and a 7 year old with me. The five year old was in the kiddie pool area while me and the 7 year old was sitting down. A younger staff member told me the 7 year old had to go on the other side due to Capacity. I explain she is only 7, she will not getting in the pool, she is only 7 years old I don’t want her in the other side without an adult and further more there were about 8 people in that area. We agree when more people were to be coming back to the kiddie area, then we will leave and go to the other side. He was nice respectful and understanding. All of a sudden, I’m assuming a manager, I can see Chastising, and speaking in a very aggressive manner not to mention embarrassing him information of other staff.I was.in shock and quickly grab the kids and left. A day that I hoped to be a happy one with the kids at the pool turned into a very uncomfortable situation. We felt so unwelcome. This guy the manager needs to be spoken to. You don’t tray people this way. First and last coming to this pool. I can understand rules and regulations but at some point when does being kind, respectful and human...
Read moreI honestly wasted my day attempting to come here for my kids to have a good time. They’re so strict with their rules and I feel like they think that they can do this bc the pool is “free”, however likely funded by our tax dollars. You have to have a lock if you have anything other than a bathing suit, a towel, water, and flip flops. I’m surprised they let you in if you have skin and bones. If you have kids and anyone is over the height of their black gate, you are bombarded to leave the children’s area and go to the bigger section. I had to basically force my 6 year-old twins to get out of the pool bc I was approached twice about my 9 year-old (who wasn’t even in the pool, just sitting at the table), being too tall for that area.. it’s summertime… let the kids have fun.. I will never come back and I already started telling others of my horrible experience. I do not recommend coming here… believe the negative reviews bc the “good” ones were likely written by the staff on their power trip to get ppl to come so that they could feel good about turning them away. The irony of it all is that this pool uses the name “Liberty” in their title. Has the owner ever looked up the meaning of the word? Quite the...
