I’ve come here twice now after moving to the area and I’m not impressed. My first visit, I came in with a set that needed to be removed. I had acrylic done on my natural nails that I had been trying to grow out for MONTHS. I told my tech I wanted to keep my natural nails and length, but when she removed my current set, she completely shredded my nails to bits. One of my own had naturally broken before my appointment, and I was prepared to get one tip and keep the rest of my natural nails, which I have done before other salons. When she removed my set, she broke four of my natural nails. I blame this on not letting them soak for long enough using a fake nail to scrape off the acrylic from my nails that wasn’t budging instead of letting them soak. Four. nails. shredded. I tried to explain again how I wanted to grow up my natural nails and they said I would have to do tips or else they would “grow out weird”. I was with a friend, so I obliged and got tips with gel. They cut off all the healthy length I had been growing for months. The set lasted me about a month and a week which was great! Despite having a semi negative experience, I decided to go back and give them another chance since my natural nails were starting to grow back.
The second time (current photos) they again shredded my nails in the removal process. I had hoped since I had got this set done there that the process would be more streamlined. I, again, expressed that I wanted a long set done on my natural nails since they have grown out. A different woman broke two of my nails in the removal process which was incredibly painful this time. She also filed the tops of my nails down to be extremely thin and brittle.
It’s been 2 weeks to the day since I got these done and these pictures were taken. Of course I expect some wear and tear! But damage started the day after I left the salon. Only one of my nails appears to have not had any damage done to it (left ring finger) but the rest are brittle and bendy. If the polish isn’t chipping, then the nail itself is breaking. I will not be returning...
Read moreI walked out of the salon two weeks ago raving and telling my friends how awesome it was. The salon is clean, well decorated and the ambience is relaxing. My acrylics were shaped to an amazing almond shape and their color selection is huge!
However, fast forward 8 days and 2 of the acrylics crack right across the middle ripping off my natural nail as I'm getting into my car. Again, no big deal, accidents happen. I returned, they fixed the nails, I paid and went home.
They very next day at work, two more nails from the original set crack right across the middle (where the acrylic tip would be attached). Now I'm suspicious because this makes the third and fourth nail, so maybe tha first two weren't an accident. I return to Nailberry and again they fix the two cracked nails and act like its my fault they keep breaking.
Fast forward two more days and another nail cracks across the middle demolishing my pinky nail and bleeding for awhile. I returned to Nailberry and asked to have the entire set removed.
The service I received was atrocious. They didn't seemed concerned that my natural nails have been butchered by all of the cracking of the acrylic. They used the acetone to remove 8 of the tips, but my pinky was still an open wound, so one girl tried filing the tip off. They set up the removal process, left me to process and never came back. After sitting for almost 30 minutes I pulled the aluminum packets off my own nails and removed the remaining tips. At this point soneone noticed and she came over to ask what color polish I wanted. Intold her no polish because I want to let my nails heal because 4 of them were ripped off so low throughout thr experience, they bled. So she got up, went to another customer.
I walked out of the salon with 9 nails that were uneven, acetone dried cuticles, a pinky nail that still had the acrylic on it, and no apology.
Although the ambience is nice, its not worth ruining...
Read moreI went here expecting a lot because of the reviews but left disappointed. They are probably great with regular Mani and pedi, but I have my nails wrapped with acrylic and needed a fill-in and a pedicure. My pedicure was ok, I had to tell the lady to clean under the nails a couple of times and to straighten the nails because it was filed crooked. It's been a week, and I already need another pedicure, it hasn't chipped, but the color looks dark and faded. I usually can go over 2 weeks without needing a new pedicure, but this one didn't do the job. As for my hands, well, the shape of my nails were much different than when I walked in. I had square nails and by the time the girls finished filing they got much narrower on the sides. I would have told her to fix it, but it was too late to fix that unless she was to extend the side with more acrylic, and I was already there for a long time (had to wait even though I made an appointment). One of my nails was chipped and it was lifting from my nails, she didn't really fix it, and next day it broke. So it was just a waste of money. Also, the lady that was doing my nails left me to go do someone else's nail when it was time to paint, and she was replaced by either the manager or the owner (not another manicurist) and she did not know how to paint nails. The first color she applied was streaking, I thought it was the color, so I changed it. Same thing happened to the second color. At that point I gave up and wanted to get out of there. Between the waiting and everything taking much longer than expected I was over it and wanted to go home. My nails broke within a week and looked awful that I had to cut my nails down and get a new set just a week later. The place is really nice. Pedicure chairs are comfy and they seem to keep everything sanitized. I might go back to try the pedicure again and give it another shot. But not for my nails. Too pricey to...
