Post-COVID Add On from early July service: Sylvia and her team did a great job of making me feel safe and that they are very mindful of sanitation. Here's some insight to my experience:

As soon as I walked in, I stood on a floor dot and Sylvia took my temp from 6' away via laser thermometer. Once my temp was confirmed to be ok, I was instructed to immediately wash my hands. Then I proceeded to pick my colors as usual. They have always used the tub liners for pedicures, so no changes there since they were already ahead if the game with that. Each mani station has a plexiglass divider with a space to slide your hand through. The UV lights to cure your gel polish is now set in slots within the table, so they aren't handled by a tech. I learned that when I leave, my station will be sanitized, and the station next to me will be used. Customers will not be sat next to each other and stations are not used back-to-back. I was also happy to see that masks were required.

I left feeling satisfied and taken care of, as I always do, but the level of care and attention that was given to ensure my safety and the safety of the employees was very impressive to me and certainly maintained my confidence in why I choose Sylvia's ♥️

I really hesitated to write this review because I have had so many positive experiences at this business but my experience yesterday was one of the worst I have ever had. I have gone here for almost two years to get my eyebrows waxed and they have always done a great job and been super professional. However, yesterday when I went in the stylist who served me was talking on her cell phone and ended up waxing off a large chunk of my eyebrow. In an effort to correct her mistake, she trimmed the rest of the brow hair way down so the edges are much shorter and more blunt. I am someone who has thick and wispy eyebrows and have maintained them like that for years so to see them like this has been pretty jarring to myself and other people who know me. I like to think this was just a one time mistake since they have done great work for me in the past. However given the unprofessionalism of a stylist being on their phone and how poor this result is, I am truly unsure if I will ever be going back. They always do a great job on manicures and pedicures though, so please don’t let this review dissuade you from those services. But I would definitely be cautious when it comes...

I got a gel powder manicure yesterday and I’ll say that it’s okay and she did give me what I want. However I don’t think there was enough prep especially with my small nails. She just filed my nails and then buffed it. When she was filing my cuticles it was rough. After adding the tips She then went ahead with an alcohol on top which made two of my fingers cuticles feel like they were burning and then goes on to buff them again. One of my fingers ended up bleeding from the cuticle. She could have just pushed the fingers cuticles back and then cut it but she didn’t and buffed it so much. My nails came out fine like I said earlier but I noticed less of the product or nails around the cuticle area when I just got out of the salon.
