Mela Pizza — Restaurant in New York

DON'T ORDER DELIVERY! HEED THE WARNINGS! You see, this is why you read reviews before ordering pizza. I was desperate and just trusted the flyer from the Howard Johnson hotel here. I didn't Google it. I didn't Yelp it. I didn't even Bing it. I blindly called and ordered the simplest of orders: half cheese, half pepperoni. They took my credit card information and then told me it would take 40 minutes. That's too long, but I didn't question it. And then my family and I waited. And waited... and waited ... for exactly 56 minutes.

So I called and canceled the order. If they don't refund my money like what some of the other reviews say, I'll have to give ol'...

This place. There were a few stores that failed at this location, it was a Boston style pizza place right before it became Bella. I wondered if it would stay. It did. You want good service, walk in and place your order - it's old school like that. I remember one time some F.O.B. asked for ketchup with his slice and the old Italian guy gave it to him but lifted his hand to his mouth to bite it while mumbling his disagreement to the situation - it's old school like that. Never order from these guys. I placed an order on a Sunday afternoon for a salad, a pizza, a dessert and a coke. They said that my order will be there in 20 minutes. It did not get to me for over an hour. I called once and the person on the other end was very rude saying why am i calling and what do i want from them. When the food finally arrived, the pizza was already cold, the salad was mushy because the vegetables in it gave off juice, they did not include the drink (but of course billed me for it) and got me a completely wrong dessert....
