Newton Institute — Local services in New York

I can say honestly, they helped a lot with my studies. They would teach the students the things that we would learn in the next grade. I mainly had a problem with how they treated the students. My parents enrolled me into Newton at 2nd grade and I stayed there until I started 5th grade. During the time I was there, I’ve experienced a lot of harsh things from a few people. In one of the math sessions, taught by Mr. Chang, he threw a black board eraser at this one kid for getting the answer wrong. I wasn’t in that class I saw from outside the classroom as the back of the room was glass. I’ve also seen a bunch of kids cry being in his classes. Honestly not bad. Helped me a lot with my studies and got a really good score on the SHSAT because of this place. Mr. Chang, the math teacher, is really only strict and harsh for students who don't put effort in. Still, he created a hostile environment, and I saw lots of kids crying. The TAs who helped you with your homework were super nice, and the friends you meet here are forever. Met my best friends through Newton! I'm learning. They have Mr. Chang who's the math dude and he's the best. I've learned math from him for years now which is why I think my math is stronger than my like English stuff. With English they have had different teachers but right now they have a good one Ms. Marylin she's this weird teacher that talks about Harry Potter all the time and she even tries to look like him. She has the glasses... but I'm actually learning a lot from her like way more than from my actual school and I've only had her for like 3 weeks not years like with Mr. Chang. She's cool and I think I'll do good on the SHSAT now...
