We took a fantastic $4 ride on the NYC Ferry Astoria route (which goes from Wall Street on the SE tip of Manhatten to East 90th Street on the Upper East Side) that gave us fantastic views of all the iconic buildings on Manhatten (e.g. One Time Square, The Empire State Building, Chrysler Building) as well as Roosevelt Island and Long Island city in Queens from the East River. We caught the ferry from the Brooklyn Naval Yard and rode on the upper deck in the glorious sunshine all the way to East 90th Street, where we had to disembark. Read moreThe attitude of these workers is the worst. We bought tickets and got into line. The board said the AS east was arriving so everyone went up to the gate. Then the boat arrives, doesn’t say where it’s going and the girl starts scanning tickets. She scans ours before someone else yells Wall Street which we were like uhhh what, that’s the wrong way. We tell her and she literally told us “move aside” meanly and then we waited for the next boat.
