If you love beer, you need to go here.

Transmitter brews truly delicious beers (such as my favorite stout and one of the best triples I've ever had). Everything is bomber style, but the beers aren't too high gravity. Very rich, complex, nuanced flavors. Wide variety of brew types, all great. Make sure you pour with a little head, because every beer has a delicious one. But, those are just their beers, which you can get in a few places.

The tasting session at the brewery itself is amazing. You're literally tucked away in a corner of the brewery at small makeshift tables. The kegs and brew instruments are right there. So it smells like beer being made and you can watch them close out their day and see how they brew. They're more than willing to talk about the brews and they all have a great passion for brewing. It ends up being an amazing experience for a beer lover. Can't recommend enough.

One of the most adventurous breweries with yeast. Part of the fantastic LIC brewery route along with Big Alice and Rocakway, Transmitter is just as small, authentic, and delicious. Nestled in yet another warehouse in a semi shady area under the tracks between LIC AND Greenpoint, there isn't much ambiance but the funky beers here are top notch. I'm not sure I agree with their distinction between a farmhouse and a saison, but I can let bygones be far and by gone for their beer. The golden ale was a nice basic ale that will please just about anyone. The saison and especially the Brett saison ramp up the funk like Bruno Mars and don't disappoint. They serve only via bottle here, and you have to beg for the singular picnic bench, so come with friends or a...

I straight up love this place. The first time I came by a few years ago, they were to-go only, but now you can actually post up and drink your beer. Intimate brewery space, the clientele are polite and well-behaved, and Rob, Tanya, and Anthony are super affable and generous. My only worry is that this place will continue to blow up (see Other Half Brewing) and you won't be able to even stand in there anymore. The beers are fantastic, rustic European ales. I like the balance between trusted beers like golden ales and more exotic things like saisons made with grape must. They take interesting risks but also stick to tried an...

I used the ferry to visit my friend in brooklyn and we stopped at this location in the brooklyn navy yard. As of summer 2021 there dont appear to be a ton of open stores inside, but thats a shame because what is open is great. It feels like a secret. This bar has so much space, indoors and outdoors, and there werent as many people there as i wouldve thought. Maybe it picks up at night, i wouldnt know, but the guy brews his own beer on location. Its big. Its clean. I think if the other shops open up this bar is prime time bc of its outdoor seating. Feels like an obvious combo

Interesting experience. Not a standard taproom. Instead you get some free tastings from 3 of their offerings then can buy bottles to drink in their modest drinking area or take home with you. Their funky beer offerings are pretty strong. They have a solid pilsner and (if they still have it) a pomegranate sour that is worth trying. Nearby to other breweries in the area, so a great addition to a bike and brew circuit. Cycling Cicerone approved.
