I stopped by Parkchester Wireless and Electronics recently, and based on what I saw, I wouldnât really recommend it.
I didnât really sell alot of devices myself, but while I was there, I saw a couple of people trying to sell their phones and the offers they were getting seemed pretty lowâdefinitely not what youâd expect for the condition or model. Meanwhile, I noticed a lot of the items being sold in the store, especially phones and other electronics, were priced on the higher side, even for used devices. It just didnât seem like a fair balance between what they offer and what they charge.
Another thing I picked up on was that some of the electronics didnât seem fully tested or verified, which could be a concern if you're buying something and hoping it works perfectly. I first saw this issue when I tried to sell them a device, but then realized that all they looked for were visible damages, if it is unlocked, and model it was. Except that, they didn't really test any other key functions of the device. Also, they had clothes and shoes for sale, but some of them looked off-brand or possibly fake.
The staff wasnât rude or anything (even though some of them may be hard to understand and communicate), I just didnât get the feeling that this was the most reliable place to buy or sell electronics. Iâd suggest checking out a few other shops first and comparing prices before doing any business here.
Except for all this, I would only recommend coming here to fix your devices and for buying phone cases/screen protectors since they don't really have much of a...
Read moreI didnt expect much walking into a dilapidated shack in the middle of the bronx, but I definitely expected better than this. No one greeted me while I was browsing the phones. The closest thing to some human interaction I got was catching a glimpse at some Italian guy in the corner flipping a nickel and winking at me every time I looked up, I guess it was the owner. When I was ready to buy the phone I wanted, the cashier tried to overcharge me by $50 and wouldnt budge when I showed him the actual price they had it listed for. So I just put the phone back and started looking at some cases in the corner of the store, and next thing I know i've got some wannabe tony soprano literally breathing down my neck (same guy who kept winking at me earlier). Guy had me corner trapped and I just had to do the classic "fake left and run right" maneuver, and I barely got out of there. Then the guy slammed the door behind me and closed the blinds and turned out the lights...dont know what that was about. If they were that devastated about 50 shekels then maybe they should just raise their prices. Maybe then theyd have some money to make the place not look like it hasnt been remodeled since hurricane hazel came through and blew the roof off in 1954. Wouldnt want to tell that to ol Giovanni Russo though, guy looked like he had connections to the family if you catch my drift. Lets just say were lucky I got out of...

Stay Far AWAY. On two occasions my self and a family member have had phones "repaired" here and on both occasions phones became bricked and screens not operable.
My phone went from working with a cracked screen to a complete brick after these guys were done.
I'm 100% positive they aren't Licensed to do repair and I'm 100% positive they will damage any product you bring here. Customer Service is a joke as its usually kids running the place and usually the "guy" that does the repairs isn't even at the location. You will have to wait and Leave your phone. Shady as hell!
By the way, The only 5 star review on this page is someone that happens to work there. Possibly an owner. Do your Self a favor and STAY FAR AWAY! There are far more reputable, legitimate places to get your items repaired. Don't do it to yourself. You will end up in a worse predicament and your device will be broken.
Trust me save yourself the Headache and Frustration go...
