Bronx Unionport Parkchester Park — Attraction in New York

Having grown up around this neighborhood, it's easy to right this area off as a quick drive for motorists along the Cross Bronx Expressway. But if you exit into this area, be it by car, the IRT #6 Line, the Bx 4, 22, 36, or 39 Bus Route, you'll find a decent mix of commercial and residential blocks situated in a semi-secluded neighborhood. An area that has been home to Big Pun, Jennifer Lopez, Sherri Lewis and her puppet Lamb Chop, even famed weatherman Mr. G taught classes at nearby Albert Einstein Junior High School! From pizzerias, to bodegas, to schools and small shops, this has been home to several generations of hard working New Yorkers trying to get by dealing with the daily struggles of life. Beautiful park to sit and relax, they have benches to sit and look at the beautiful fountain. There's always a police officer Posted in a booth securing the area. Lots of pretty flowers and a memorial as well. They recently fixed the fountain too. Lots of wildlife mainly squirrels and birds. There's the 22 bus and the bx4a as well. It's blocks away from the 6 train station. There is a shopping area as well and a few places to grab food! You have to be careful crossing through grabt circle because of the cars and some hit and runs a few months back. Other than that...

It's a wonderful place to relax, get a cool breeze by the fountain. If you play Pokemon GO, it's a good place to be as well. I'd like it to be a non smoking. Everytime I want to sit and relax to eat my lunch, there's always someone smoking cigarettes or cigar whether there are children there or not. Not everyone smokes.
