Dr. Choi has become my go-to doctor whenever I am experiencing any pain.
I am a 72 year old avid golfer in good health. I first went to see Dr. Choi at my wifeโs recommendation. He has a reputation for treating difficult cases. He is a doctor in Eastern medicine or Korean medicine & very knowledgeable in Western medicine as well.
When I visited him in Feb 2021, I had an upcoming golf trip and was experiencing pain in my right shoulder that was impeding my golf swing. His acupuncture technique was skillful and thorough. During the treatment, he asked me to move my shoulders and make the golf swing motion. I was still experiencing some pain, so he added additional acupuncture needles to that spot. By the end of the session, my pain was mostly gone and I could swing freely. Dr. Choi then explained how I likely injured my shoulder and taught me exercises to do before swinging my golf clubs. As a result, I was able to play golf everyday pain free for 4 weeks! I was so grateful.
In April 2021, my fingers were too stiff to bend & I was unable to make a fist, and I got trigger finger. I visited a well-known hand specialist who gave me a cortisone shot for my trigger finger, but I didnโt experience any improvement so I sought Dr. Choiโs help. I saw him twice and he thoroughly explained the causes of trigger finger and suggested daily exercises to prevent it from recurring. As a result, I could make a fist & hold my golf clubs without any trouble. I was so grateful.
In June 2021 just before a two-week golf trip, excruciating pains on my back impeded my golf swing. So I sought Dr. Choiโs help. Just like before, he relieved all the pains on my back so as to be able to swing freely. I enjoyed my trip playing golf everyday for 2 weeks pain free. I stayed with exercising his preventive measures. I was so grateful.
I am a pain-free golfer because of Dr. Choiโs expertise, his treatments, and his in-depth knowledge of preventive measures! I am...
ย ย ย Read moreDr. Daniel B. Choi cares about three things in this order: money, his ego, and Jesus. The first thing you notice when you goto his clinic is that there are two filthy dogs wandering around everywhere- a sign in my book of a medical clinic that does not put proper sanitation as its priority. I should've left right away but much to my regret, I tried Dr. Choi (Korean name: ์ต๋ณํฌ).
Dr. Choi began his session by asking me a barrage of questions on my health condition. I noticed that he was doing two things: stating general and obvious facts about medicine that patients would concur, and promoting himself at the expense of other eastern and western medical practitioners by claiming that their practice is illegitimate. When he learned about what I do for living and deduced I should be financially stable, he went on to discuss his ambition for money. He told me that he thinks about practicing western medicine, despite his beliefs of its long term ineffectiveness, because it is more marketable and profitable. He was consistently trying to flaunt by stating that he is an educated man and some of his former patients include high profiles. It was just too clear to me that his ego and greed was far more important preserve than serving his patients. I left his clinic with a very negative experience.
I don't trust Dr. Choi as a person, let alone as a doctor. Dr. Choi is all about money, as evidenced by his lengthy and expensive treatment (about $500 for 10 days of medicine, $100 for 2 weekly acupuncture visits, and $50 for examination). That's more than two thousand dollars per month per patient. I learned through a web search and plaques in his office that he is heavily affiliated with a Korean Church and maybe joining this church will score you a discount. Of all doctors I've met (including one who was indicted for grand larceny) Dr. Choi wins the Best...
ย ย ย Read moreFirst, I'm going to say, he is not an ordinary acupuncturist because he is also a doctor who shares and uses the information learned as a doctor to in addition to his knowledge in acupuncture. He will explain things thoroughly during your first visit and whatever your diagnosis is, he will want to know all your problems and make the connections in a way no doctors would do and share to you. He is sincere and I love him. Not only is he really intelligent, but he truly does care about your well-being, and he's really unconsciously funny. He's like that friend who could get along with anyone in your middle school class.
Next, please do not be discouraged from the 2 bad reviews left here on google. On the Korean website, there's a total of 62 reviews with a total average of 9.9 rating. That's the site you have to trust! Not sorely off 7 reviews on google. Unfortunately posting the URL violates google's policy so I had to remove it.
As for my own problems, I've been seeing great improvements during my 2 weeks of treatment here so far for my nerve pain, low back pain, and few other problems. The amount of sessions will vary based upon every patient. Some will get better in just one or two sessions, or it might take longer for others. You have to trust the process. Everyone's body is different. Also, he will most likely give you dietetic advice, and you must take it to heart. It's part of the process for your healing. You will be grateful and the cost will be worth it. Health should always be a top priority in your life. Doctors will prescribe you drugs to temporarily relieve your symptoms, but there are dangerous side effects that comes along with it, which I've been a victim of for a few months. If you never have tried acupuncture, give this place a shot and I have no doubt you...
