On wed May 29th 2024 around 12:48am the male staff member at the drivethru was rude (did not get his name) and very inconsiderate. As a food courier the pick up notes did not indicate the store doors are open after midnight. So we (delivery drivers) assume to use the drive thru. Which is open. The staff member refused to hand me the food and told me to come inside instead. Even after i explained the doors looked closed. At the window I asked politely if he could hand it to me since I was stuck in the drive thru, he opted to argue his point with the food behind him. The food was directly behind him. I had to park my car, then enter the store only to then wait (with no one in line inside). I then got his attention at the counter, politely. I asked him why the pickup notes were not clear about open doors at that hour. His response was very condescending as though he had a bad day. I'm not eating or picking up from here ever because of 1 staff member. I spoke with respect and was given a dismissive attitude. He obviously had an ego problem eventhough we are supposed to be working together. Uber Eats drivers should not be treated like this when pickup instructions are not clear. I got the order after reminding him it comes with 2 sodas (Don't order Uber Eats from here, a sign of missing items issues). Additionally, as a consumer I have eaten from here in the past but I'll never buy from this particular location because of this unpleasant experience. If you read this, this doesnt mean their food is bad. Just 1 apple spoiling the bunch with terrible customer service skills and a chip on...
Read moreThis is an average of reviews, based on two experiences. One review is a 1 star and the other is 4-star. And 2.5 rounds to 3. Not having a car and staying in Bayside with gf for a few weeks makes getting takeout especially difficult during COVID. The first time I ordered online and walked through the drive through up to the window in all my PPE, stating the name order. The staffer said I could pick it up inside. Confused, I went to the door, and stood at it because it was locked like I predicted. The staff member gave my bag through the door and it was no issue. I figured it would be odd to go through that again, but whatever. The next encounter, I did the same thing, walked up to the pickup window, gave name, and was hoping to pickup with no hassle. Well, unfortunately, this male staffer decided to be irritating and non-accommodating, scolding me for not having a car. I told him I don't have one and then he said come on a bike. I wasn't going to have it, so I just took my food and left. I've not had an issue with this before at other fast-food restaurants like Wendy's and McD's. If COVID was over, I would get my food takeout from inside like normal, but with closed dining room doors, the only way I can receive my prepaid food is by walking up to drive through windows. Maybe it's just Bayside mentality that everyone should have a car, but I'm not from Bayside. I take the bus and subway (or used to) because I'm from the west part of NYC, where having a car is just an...
Read moreCame in on Saturday around 1pm and placed three orders of different combo meals to go. When the guy handed my order, I questioned if that included everything, since it looked like there were less items than expected, and he assured me that everything was there. I was not convinced, so I went over to a table to check all the items and found that they were, in fact, missing an item. I went over to the counter, but before I could even ask, the woman looked at me and said "your order has everything". I told her it's missing an item, and she insisted that nothing was missing. I asked her to come over to the counter and check the items with me. Long story short, one item was missing. The woman told the other lady to make the missing item, and proceeded to tell me several times "it's ok, just missing one item". There was no apology, just facial expression of annoyance and insisting that it was fine, because there's only one missing item. This is the 2nd time I've had missing items to my order at this location. Based on other reviews, this is not an isolated occurrence. Makes you wonder if this location is purposely missing items for takeout orders since most of the time, people don't find out until after leaving the location and won't spend time coming back for a correction. If that's not the case, then the workers there really need better training in customer service. My rating is not on the missing item nor the food, but on how the workers handled...
