I ordered a camera online through their Ebay store and their communication is perfect. They reached out to me, made sure that they had the right address and that they were shipping it to the right person. Big plus in my book.. but here is when it all went a little down hill..
Timeline: May 26th - Purchase item May 27th - Receive an email that they won't be able to ship out until the 31st, they were moving warehouses. (My initial thoughts, that's fine stuff happens) May 31st - Receive a phone call, ask me questions, say they will ship it out by 5 PM June 2nd - I still never received a tracking number. Call Photo4Less, they apologize for it never got sent out and stated they will do next day air to arrive on June 3rd, today. June 3rd - Check the UPS tracking number, it doesn't work. Call UPS, they say it doesn't work and that it hasn't been shipped yet or is a faulty tracking number. Call Photo4Less, tell me that I still have priority shipping and that I don't have next day air. That it will arrive on Monday the 6th (that's horrible because I'm moving out of my current place that day) and that they will refund me $10 to my account.
EDIT: Ebay listed the tracking as a UPS tracking number. Turns out it is actually a USPS tracking number.. Doesn't really change the fact that it's super late and was forgotten about.
This should be a zero star review, but their communication was very good. The $10 refund on a $660 purchase is a bit of an insult.. that's less than 2% of the entire purchase and the next day shipping that I was assured/guaranteed is $80. While dealing with the people at Photo4Less have not been horrible, there forgetfulness and inability to commit and stand by their word has been horrible, and may ultimately cost me shipping the device a second time to another location if it does not...
Read morePhotoPark is the reason why it comes to “time sensitive” stuff like travel, photos—anything that’s personal and not just a place to purchase “more stuff” ...I prefer the human factor over the faceless website only choices like snapfish, Shutterfly, Walgreens, etc... case in point, i needed these pictures for my moms birthday which is today— and even tho I was told to expect them tomorrow...(my bad because I uploaded them to PhotoPark’s intuitively easy site just yesterday)...all it took was a call and the folks at PhotoPark made sure to stay on top of my order...and despite the fact it arrived in their store just before closing(which is still ahead of schedule as it was expected tomorrow)they arranged to let me know AND more importantly, to get it to my mom—who lives a few blocks away, but is very corona-conscious—plus, my niece, who actually saw the pictures and who’s a pretty serious amateur photographer, also complimented the quality...and without me asking, so i know it’s legit...speaking of legit, their site experience is every bit as legit as the aforementioned “big guys”...more so actually...because instead of constantly bombarding me mid-order with more stuff to buy...the PhotoPark site was about the user experience, it’s almost like it “sensed” I was there to get something done...and didn’t want to distract me with extraneous stuff it “knew” I had no interest in buying...is it a bit more than the above guys? Yes, but it’s a very small bit...and the big plus in terms of customer service makes it...
Read moreI would give no stars if I could. I purchased a Hero Go Pro from ebay with accessories for $189 for my daughter who wanted to "save it" for camp. She put it the Go Pro -- still in the box -- on her desk and waited for camp. In late June, just before camp she opened the box to charge the camera. It didn't work. We immediately took it to a local (famous) camera store to figure out the problem and they told us it was a complete dud. Doesn't work. Can't be fixed. Doesn't charge. I immediately called this company who refuses to even look at the item they sold me. I explained ALL the accessories are still unopened in their packaging and we have the camera but NO. We would have to "purchase a warranty" from a different company so that company could then fix the problem. What a SCAM! It used to be companies were proud to stand by the products that they sold. Certainly this firm is not one of those type of companies. BEWARE! I am out almost $200 for absolutely nothing. They sold me a camera that doesn't work and...
