Pier 40 is extorting my company “Citibike” who has a bike station inside the parking lot as well as outside of the parking lot, near the board walk, where the tennis courts are located. This Parking lot (where my company is stationed at) will charge US, the employees of Citibike anywhere between $47 or more, for making an error of turning into their parking lot and confusing the two stations(outside & inside). The staff were very rude to me on July 7th, 2022. As a new employee with Citibike, only started working for Citibike a month ago (June 8th, 2022) my first time being assigned to that location was a disaster. I was held captive and told I couldn’t leave, to move my car to the side. Delayed my other work details, because the parking attendant wouldn’t let me leave unless I paid $47. I explained that I misunderstood the bike station outside for the bike station that was inside. The parking attendant became very unprofessional when I explain that I just started the job, I didn’t have $47. This went on for 1 1/2 hrs. To conclude, I’m not the first nor will I be the last person to make that same mistake. Imagine how much money pier 40 parking lot is making off the company I work for (Citibike) who shares a space inside pier 40 parking lot. It’s not fair, something...
Read moreParked here in August 2025 in an F 350 longbed 22 feet 4 ton gasser. The sign says no trucks but I think that applies to commercial trucks. The clearance is 8 ft 2 inches for daily parking but it might accommodate taller on the roof with a monthly pass. My only complaint was that the pigeons and birds roost inside so there’s a lot of pigeon poop might want to bring a cover. It’s covered and secure and I left my rods and three bikes and cooler and no one messed with it. This is the best place to park in lower Manhattan in my opinion, can uber pretty much anywhere from here and the taxis all use the west side highway and FDR anyway. Little tip for you if you check out your unladen GVWR the limit on the Brooklyn Bridge is 3 tons and the FDR is less so find...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I had a blast. It was worth the time spent. Only reason I gave it three star is because, we spend $25 for 1 plate of food. It was fish, chicken, plantains, and zucchini. Chicken tasted ok. But, everything else could have been better. They said open Buffet, which is not the case. They need better food choices, make it finger food instead. And don't falsely advertise open buffet, when it is not so. The $45 for open bar is better, than $10, $12, & $8 per drink. Music was ok. Overall it was a good experience. I will definitely do it again. My friend and I are planning to do another one. My recommendation, is to eat before you go. Unless, you want to pay $25 for food that my 8 year eight-year-old niece can...
