Steve has resolved my chronic back pain problem, which is worth repeating. Steve has resolved my chronic back pain problem! I am an active person and the thought of having my time at the gym reduced or having my recreational activities hindered due to back pain was not an option.
I have seen several other physical therapists in the past with no signs of improvement and had given-up on PT. That was until I met Steve at my gym, where Steve was providing evaluations. I was so impressed with Steve’s knowledge, which included a quick understanding an appreciation of my exact back problem, I reached out to him via email that afternoon and made an appointment. More importantly, Steve took the time to listen to me an answer all of my questions.
Steve is also incredibly generous with his knowledge and has worked very closely with my personal trainer to develop an exercise routine tailored just for me. This is what ultimately cured me.
I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that Steve also happens to be a great guy. He’s fun to hangout with and I feel like I’ve known him for years. Perhaps that’s the reason why I recently injured my knee. It must have been a Freudian thing in order to postpone my graduation from iPT. My new malady is improving under Steve’s guidance – aka: “Steve Horney’s Helping Hands”.
In addition, Steve believes strongly in the value of increasing his knowledge. He remains up-to-date with current trends and prevailing breakthroughs by continuing his education regularly not only within his practice field, but beyond.
Finally, Steve and Matt have exceeded my expectations by working directly with my insurance company, a time consuming task to say the least. They have resolved an issue concerning my reimbursements and I can’t thank...

I'm a mid-40's soccer player - with the risk of all of the predictable muscular ailments that one would expect at this age. My most recent challenge has been a high groin strain. The headline is that Steve has me back on the field as strong as ever.
After aggravating a previously recovered groin strain (self treated) - I determined it was time to get real help. Its universally known that this type of muscle strain can take quite a while to recover from and I have to say I was fairly discouraged before seeking help.
Recommend by another PT, Steve has proved to be an excellent physical therapist. Steve assessed the injury - and planned a methodical approach to recovery through stretching and strengthening all of the related musculature (hamstrings, quads, hips, core et al) - while allowing for recovery and strengthening of the effected area. I tend to ask a lot of questions about 'how things work' - how one muscle relates to another etc. Steve explains physiology in terms that are understandable - and with a purpose. One can't deny his plan of action.
After our first session - I was confident that Steve's treatment would get me back on the field - and at the appropriate pace. I was motivated to follow the plan. As we monitored my progress and adjusted my exercises, Steve continued to push me to the appropriate limit. I was back on the field last week - not too soon - not too late.
It is important to note Steve is dedicated to his clients and his profession. His technical knowledge is clear - he instructs other therapists on a regular basis - and he's overall a really good guy as well. ...

A little back story: at 22 I weighed about 200lbs and started getting into fitness... I dropped about 50lbs and kept them off, finding a love for sports mostly indoor cycling and running. Having accomplished the huge feet of losing the weight, a marathon seemed like the next step....
Until, like so many people, I was injured through training. The long hours of pounding the pavement (coupled with a handful of serious but latent injuries I had acquired over the years of my weight loss and had never done anything about...) left me totally miss-aligned and suffering from metatarsal pain that made me want to cry on the way to work let alone on a jog.
Steve was quick to accurately diagnose not just my metatarsal problem, but also the root imbalance and going me working to fix the problem in our fist session. After seeing him for a couple weeks, my injury was clearly on the mend. Bigger still: Continuing to do some of the exercises he showed me to stretch and strengthen in ways that were specifically right for my body.... I not only got better, but I became much more of a proficient athlete.
Today, years later, I actually own a fitness business. I cycle, run, do barre, practice yoga, go on hikes. There's no injury holding me back. I could never have gotten where I did in life or in fitness without the great advice, coaching and "therapy" I received...
