Rustic Music - South Shore — Local services in New York

I have been on the search for the Luna Aurora Borealis Black 3/4 Guitar for my daughter. All of the major online guitar shops have been backordered for months on this. I contacted Luna directly and they assured me that it was still in production and that I needed to contact my local dealer.

After scouring the internet for months; I happened to stumble across Rustic Music Center. And low and behold their website said that they had stock. I emailed them on a long shot that they truly had stock and were willing/able to ship one to me in California. Within an hour I received an email from Charlie telling me "Yes of course. I have plenty in stock ready to fly." To be sure that sending money to this NY store was safe and legit I did a quick web search. I was pleased to find out that this is a mom & pop mini-chain servicing the NY locals and many reviews mentioned Charlie (among others by name) and have mostly had positive experiences with Rustic and their employees.

I pulled the trigger and ordered the guitar from their website on the afternoon 2/15. Got a shipping notification on 2/16 morning. Arrived from FedEx on 2/23. It arrived and was well packed and had a great big fridge magnetic with their logo on it included in the box.

I just want to say that you have made a 13-year old girl extremely happy. Heck even I love playing this guitar! It's beautiful. I would definitely give my business to Rustic Music Center again in the future. Nothing but praise from me. Thank you...

I recently picked my guitar back up for the first time in 15 years, inspired by quarantine. I’m going to be honest, i looked on amazon for what I thought I might’ve needed which also got me thinking about supporting local and small businesses in these tough times. Enter Rustic music. I walked in there feeling a little lost but the girl Christine that works there was so helpful and knowledgeable that she made it easy to get back into the swing of things. She had everything I needed and she even changed my guitar strings for me, tuned it and got me ready for my lessons which I started today. Jordan is my teacher and he’s very patient so it made me a lot less nervous than I’d usually be. I really look forward to continue learning from him to get me better with time. Christina, a great accommodating owner. Will always do her best to cater to her customers in terms of services, equipment and lessons. Keeps track of everything and is extremely trustworthy. John, an incredible Bass and Piano teacher who taught me bass and my son piano (as soon as Sonia left. Another great piano teacher. Thank you Sonia) very knowledgeable and explains music theory where it becomes very logical.
