Really disappointing service. The Beauty Advisors were very dismissive and unfriendly. It took two attempts of having to blatanlty ask for help in finding a product. Both made it seem as if I was bothering them and were short/made me feel very uncomfortable. It also felt as though they were purposely trying to avoid me or that I was not worthy of their time or shopping in the store. When I have gone to other locations, I used to always feel welcomed and supported- which ended up encouraging me to leave the store with more than I intended! By the time I made it to check out, there was no one at the registers even though there were more Beauty Advisors than employees in the store. I tried to reach one of the workers who appeared to be the manager. She pointed to someone who had been busy with the same customers in the mobile check out for at least 10 minutes (with no indication of being done soon) and casually walked away. In my experience, managers, and usually other employees, have the ability to check customers out. Or at least try to be helpful. They do not casually stroll around the store and leave everything to one employee. At that point, I decided to leave calmly and cut my losses. To note, there were other customers I noticed leave after waiting around for help at check out and in the store. I could understand if the store was really busy but it was fairly slow. I have been in other locations where it is packed and still been in/out with a large purchase faster than today. I have been going to many Sephora locations for years and never felt so dismissed and uncomfortable. At this point I am considering ending my relationship with Sephora as there as so many other retailers available. Would...
Read moreI normally don’t write reviews about stores but this one was too good not to share ...I walked in on a simple mission to pick up a product I ran out of and having never been to this location was taking a bit longer trying to find the brand . So , as a customer, I asked one of the sales associates where the brand is and she told me the store is no longer carrying it but it’s still available online. Fine . Fair. She then pointed to the line of clean skincare and suggested I check out these as alternatives and I told her simply that I am looking for something for everyday use without spf ...thinking maybe she would give me a quick list of good alternatives...nope. She then said well yea I’m not going to point you towards something with SPF 50 when the one you wanted didn’t have any I’m going to find you something comparable. She then grabbed a few swatch sticks and pointed me to a wall of brands and said here you can test out whatever you want . And that was that. No concrete suggestions . Nothing . Fine . Whatever. I knew the other product I liked anyway so I grabbed that and went to checkout which you would think would be a super simple process. It was until my cashier spelled my name (3 letters people ) wrong multiple times when looking up my email and then when I was asked if I wanted my receipt emailed or printed...I said emailed . She then printed it and said oops I’m so used to hitting the print button.......I digress. I have never had a subpar experience at any Sephora until this one . Do yourself a favor and go to one of the other multiple locations...
Read moreI believe the person who "helped" me a couple of weeks ago was Jessica. I was looking at Lancome foundations, since Lancome recently discontinued Photogenic, and she half-heartedly asked if I needed help but kept walking. When I told her I wanted to try the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk, she tried to talk me out of it and buy the Lancome foundation right in front of my face (I suppose so she wouldn't really have to work). When I told her that I'm not a fan of matte finishes, she kept pushing that I try it, saying that's what she was wearing. So, I asked for a sample, and her response was "You can just buy it and then return it if you don't like it," AKA "I want to make commission off you." When I insisted on the sample, she squirted like two half-pumps into the plastic pot before proceeding to ask me what time it was (it was 30 minutes until closing). She then said, "I'm gonna get in so much trouble," which I think was code for, "You're wasting my time." I work nearby and was going to stop in again today to get that sample for the Armani Silk that I never received so that I could make an informed decision before I buy online for cyber Monday (hoping that Jessica wouldn't be around), but after reading similar reviews about the sub-par service, I decided to just wait until the morning to go to the UES location. They are super nice and helpful...
