I have been visiting this salon for a few months, primarily due to its convenient location. However, after my most recent experience, I’ve decided to discontinue my visits. I spent $100 on a gel manicure removal, followed by a regular manicure and pedicure plus tip, but unfortunately, just two days later, my nails started to look as shown in the photos. Additionally, I was disappointed with the lack of consistency in service. I had three different technicians working on my nails, which led to a less than cohesive result. While I understand that salons can be busy, I was hoping for a more thorough and consistent service. Another aspect that always makes me uncomfortable is the tipping process. When it's time to pay, they ask upfront whether you are tipping with cash or card. When I select card, the staff doesn’t even move the payment screen towards me, and instead they stare at the screen to see what percentage you are selecting, which makes me feel uneasy about the tipping process. Despite the less than satisfactory service, I feel pressured to tip 20% even when the quality doesn't meet expectations. Unfortunately, this experience, paired with prior issues such as gel polish chipping within two days, has led me to decide that I will no longer be returning.

Came here with a gift card from a friend and decided to book a couple extra services: Jini was my technician and made recommendations on organic products for my pedicure that she thought would be both soothing and safe for my baby (currently 6mo pregnant). It was comforting to see her recommendation wasn’t based on pricing as there were several more expensive options. I’ve also been craving a back massage as the pre-natal options at various spas have not been doing it for me. Frank did a 30min chair massage for me and absolutely nailed exactly what I was looking for! As a manual therapist myself, I recommend him highly. He focused on my thoracic spine per request and then added in additional neck & shoulders manual, SIJ & suboccipital pressure release, and tractioning stretches! This is definitely my go-to spot for the rest of my pregnancy.

Recently moved into the area and needed a new nail salon. Decided on this place based on their reviews. Spent 2.5 hours in the chair and $170 to receive the chunkiest disasters on my fingers I’ve ever seen. Between giving reference photos of shape and design, and detailed explanations I still walked out of the salon with unfinished nails. Despite Annie not being able to successfully accomplish the very basic design I was requesting, I was still charged the $20 design fee. Not only am I going home upset over this disaster of a manicure, I now have to go spend $100+ for someone else to fix this. Would not recommend this place for any kind of extension/nail art. Pedicure area looks nice but tbh I wouldn’t go in with remotely any high standards. Reference photo and what I got attached.

This place was ridiculously sneaky DO NOT COME HERE. I came in wanting a gel manicure and to fix a broken nail. The lady at the front desk told me the gel manicure would be $41 and then broken nail is an extra $10. I was like okay works for me, and then went to get them done.

I picked the gel colors I wanted and then the lady doing them starts doing another type of gel of white on one nail and she’s like do you want to combine this with your color? I asked if it was extra and she said yes so I said I’m good because I already liked my colors. What I thought was so weird is she kept that different gel color on one nail and then she did my gel colors I asked for on the other nails and it was EXACTLY the same color and look.. so I felt like I was almost going to get scammed like it’s literally the same thing but you were going to try to make me pay more?

Finally, once we’re done with the nails (they also make me bleed on one finger), I went to get rang up. The man tells me the gel manicure was $51 which I was confused about because the lady (who conveniently left) told me it was $41? She had pulled up a calculator and everything when I was asking and I vividly remember the total we agreed on. The man was like you misheard it’s $51 on our menu and pulls up the menu. Why didn’t the lady show me the menu then if it was right behind her and pull up a calculator? Also why is the menu hidden for me to have to ask people anyways? That was super weird to me, if they were honest from the start on the price that’s fine but they weren’t.

I’ve been living in Manhattan for a long time and have loved the other nail places I’ve gone to. I was in a rush after grocery shopping which is why I tried this place. DO NOT COME HERE AT ALL AND TRY...

I usually get my nails done (color gel manicure) elsewhere, but my usual nail tech was fully booked and it was an emergency, so I decided to go here after work. When I sat down with ELLEN, she immediately began the process of soaking the previous gel off my nails. I told her not to do that and to just grind the gel off with the e-file. She affirmed that she will, but CONTINUED WITH THE SOAK OFF. Then, we get to the point where she applies the gel but she never pushed back or removed my cuticles. I asked her to do so, she said that she will, and she NEVER DID. Instead, she just put some oil on them and then rubbed the filer on them. Weird! Not to mention, SHE PUT ON SIX COATS OF POLISH ON IN TOTAL! And the top coat is VERY DULL! Additionally, I was there for a very long time, while my usual nail tech would have knocked out four clients in the same amount of time! I usually pay $25 for a color gel manicure at my usual place and I leave a tip. THIS PLACE CHARGED ME $51 IN TOTAL JUST FOR THE MANICURE AND THEN PRESSURED ME INTO LEAVING A ā€œGOOD TIPā€ for ELLEN! Not to mention, it makes sense that ELLEN tried to scam me into paying for a soak-off because I never asked for that and I told her not to and then she proceeded to do so, to which the lady at the front desk said I never asked for that and said she wasn’t going to charge for that, but said I should leave a good tip instead...get out of here! However, I just reached into my wallet and gave $5, and she couldn’t even say, ā€œTHANK YOU,ā€ or, ā€œHAVE A GOOD DAY,ā€ when I walked out. This place charges extremely high prices for LOUSY and LAZY SERVICE AND QUALITY. SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE...SPEND YOUR MONEY AT A PLACE THAT WILL AT LEAST REMOVE YOUR CUTICLES AND USE A...
