I would describe this Spa as Mediocre. My experience was very disappointing. I went there with an Long term intention - not just for a 1 time visit. I genuinely wanted to work on my skin from the inside layer by building a relationship with my esthetician so that I can make this a part of my skincare routine essentially meaning multiple visits to get the results I need.
First of all, the receptionist takes payment over the phone without mentioning there’s a ridiculous credit card transaction fee (not tax), first time I went with my husband, for both facials there was an additional $15 fee. We understand this is common but not communicating this degrades the customer experience. I’m a buisness woman and I appreciate choosing how to spend my money especially if that means I would be spending over $1200 over time + more. My cash was very much available since I only live 5 minutes away. That was the first of sign not caring about the customer. The staff could all fix their appearance as well, it’s a spa after all. It’s not a luxury spa but it doesn’t ooze quality either. Greet and speak to people with a better professional attitude.
The actual treatment was okay, nothing stood out as fantastic. It’s really a beautiful spa nicely decorated from the outside but the care and treatment is no different than basic that you could get on the low end Avenue crammed up room. It’s very disappointing to the crossbay neighborhood. The esthetician seem like she was just there to do her day job, I told her I live in the neighborhood, I told her I want to come often, we discussed my skin goals. Her attitude and tone was not uplifting or optimistic about her own work, after knowing my skin goals her response was blah, uninterested. I tipped her well. The building relationship factor was not there. My second appointment they booked me with a totally different woman (who barely speaks English) and I don’t operate like that. That’s not quality care. High end spa build customer relations doesn’t exist here. My actual treatment was ok but my husband (for his birthday) didn’t like his results, parts of his face looked burnt (sensitivity) after.
Not to mention, after the first treatment she tried to sell me a bunch of treatments like a commercial so I said ok I will think about it because I’m already using quality retinol. Mind u, they said I needed like 3 light facials prior to getting the real authentic chemical peel so I said okay. After my second facial a week later, they did the commercial “buy the products” attitude. They did not have their retinal in stock! I needed to use “their” retinal for 2 weeks prior to get the intense chemical peel which means my holy grail main treatment would be delayed. The esthetician insisted that she would call me when the product arrived….Guys it’s been 3 months and they never did. After the first week I did called them but they seemed more annoyed, still didn’t had it and Insisted they’d ring my phone. (FYI they tried to convince me that all estheticians are the same and next time I’d see who’s available).
Tell me in what buisness does a customer choose you, comes with cash, agree to purchase your products on top of each visit treatments that cost well over $200 the least and you deliver low quality care and forget to tend to them, did I mention I was also planning on bringing my husband. A customer wants your survive but you have them wait, no update and did not deliver any kind of results. After 2 visits, I think only my pores were cleaned.
Overall, this was boringly terrible, I regret not taking my husband to an authentic spa for his birthday. Any spa weather it’s a nail, hair or skin should really aim to be fabulous and make women feel fabulous when they leave. Its terrible that people support places like this. I never got to achieve my skin care goals with Serenity. I see they have great reviews so I’m wondering if it’s because I’m...
Read moreI’ve come here for two massages in the past and I love them! Very well worth the price- no complaints at all. However, I came here for a pedicure, assuming the service would be equally as good as the massage but it was very underwhelming. I paid for the Spa Pedicure which is $60- The lady that did my pedicure was okay but she didn’t realize until we were 10 minutes into the pedicure that I had asked for the Spa Pedicure because she had asked me if I wanted to add a service and then I thought to myself well what’s included in the Spa Pedicure? I also had asked her what the difference was between the regular pedicure and Spa Pedicure and she never gave me an answer. So she got up and went to go get the materials needed for the Spa Pedicure and then started doing the extra service she had asked me before, so I figured it was included as I never let the lady know I wanted it. For $60 I thought I was going to at least get 10 min of massage, and she put lotion on my legs for a couple of minutes and that was it. I get to the register to pay and I see they charged me for an extra service and I asked the lady at the front what it was for and she mentioned the service the lady had mentioned to me earlier, which I never said I wanted. I guess she assumed I wanted it but also never answered my question as to what the difference was between a regular pedicure and a Spa pedicure. The lady at the register was kind enough to take the additional $10 off but the pedicure was definitely not worth it. However, will be returning...
Read moreThe staff is nice and friendly one of the issues was that I had an appointment for 12 and they called me and asked me if I can came in at 11:30 so I made it at 11:30 only to be seated until 12 like what was the point of making me come in at 11:30 another issue is that it felt like I didn’t get what I paid for I came in for a facial and a full body massage I thought the facial would clean my face but I still look the same there was no difference and my family said the same thing that it doesn’t look like I got a facial but the massage would probably be the worst it I wanted a full body massage to get rid of my soreness it my back is still sore and one of my shoulder is still sore after the massage also my legs and back kinda hurt now it felt like she was in a rush to get out she didn’t do my chest or my lower back she mainly focused on my neck and shoulder cavs and arms and even though I said to focus on everywhere this place is not worth the money and it feels like I didn’t get what I paid for and my body feels...
