LaJuana has a true gift. Her space is the very definition of welcoming and healing. On a trip to NYC, I booked my partner and myself the 60-minute massage. The experience was so intentional, starting with a short consultation during which she asked questions to get to know us better, and then an explanation of what to expect during the massage. She used a variety of techniques during the massage that reminded me of Thai massage + Swedish + hot stones and some other tools that I had never experienced before. I felt like a new person once the hour was over!

My final note may seem superficial to some, but it made the experience even more meaningful for us. As a Black and Asian person respectively, my partner and I value wellness care facilitated by people of our shared identities. I've been going to The SPAaaht on and off for over 7 years. LaJuana is the real deal! She helped me balance my skin with customized facials when it was in need of gentle care. I will always admire how non-judgmental and tender she is in contrast to other business that will push services and products you don't need. She is a business woman with integrity. Usually Lajuana is on point but my last experience was horrible. Her energy was off the whole time. She got an attitude with me because I inquired about her rewards plan. To this day I still have no idea how points are garnered as they seem to be solely at her discretion. I then simply asked about the CBD add on that I PAID for , this turned into about a 10 minute lecture from her about “not giving away free products”.
