Dr. Novak was very pleasant in the beginning however I had an issue with my Duette contacts being lost as I was involved in a fire. I personally spoke to Dr. Novak about my issue via phone and he stated I received 2 pairs of contacts already however I informed him that that was not correct as there was no reason to receive a second pair of contacts as I only had the first set approximately 3 months and there was no need to request a second pair. I did not even wear the contacts often as I went back to the doctor stating that the contacts were somewhat uncomfortable. Dr. Novak stated that he would replace the contacts based on my circumstances instead of the going back and forth. I made the appointment and was expecting no issues when I arrived. As I get to the counter I was informed that I would have to pay an additional $900 plus $150 payment just for the visit. I was angry to say the least as I was like this is not what was discussed with Dr. Novak over the phone as this visit was a WASTE of my time. I paid $900 out of pocket and did not get my money’s worth at all. I was totally fine with paying the $150 to see the doctor, however I was not going to pay basically $1800 for contacts. There was no resolve to the issue and the doctor would not even come out to speak with me which was extremely rude. The front desk even stated I owed $350 which I am so happy I paid through credit to have a paper trail. Needless to say they wasted my time coming to this appointment which is a distance from where I live and I was willing to give this doctor my business although he is not covered by insurance however based on my treatment I will never go to this office again and definitely no...

Dr. Novak has a good sense of humor but 80% of the time the front desk is unpleasant and really nasty. I’ve heard them say mean things about patients after speaking to them on the phone numerous times. I’ve told them about my primary insurance each time I went in and told they already had my vision. Then on the phone today she got annoyed that THEY didn’t have it when I’ve had the same one for two years and informed them each time.

My last straw is the last time I was told to simply call in case my daily trial lenses didn’t work for me and when I did I was told I needed to pay for another appointment. Each time he’s given me trials they didn’t work. I’m not going to spend money on another appt every time a trial doesn’t fit when I just went in around a month ago, especially when it’s not mentioned that would be the case upfront. It’s ridiculous. I’ve also asked twice for referrals to LASIK doctors and never gotten them.

In response to that interesting comment from the owner: Yes the heartfelt improvement to service and a future good experience is really evident in the response.

Dr. Novak stated no issue with considering LASIK and encouraged giving me the referrals himself-twice. Never had any issues with trial lenses except the ones given by Dr. Novak, the numerous tried always varied widely in size despite several "contact fittings" with dailies being the only consistent factor. Regardless, seems like the common theme is lack of communication from this office since if there was an "issue with my eyes" that should've been communicated during the appointments instead of Bob Ross's backstory. Dr. Novak is a money hungry scum bag. He is not a doctor. Caught him red handed overcharging me for an exam and making me pay out of pocket. He charged me $270 out of pocket for an exam claiming my insurance wouldn’t cover it. Then I get informed by my insurance that he charged them $485 just for my visit. I confronted his office and they sent me a check for $165. They refused to refund my credit card. Months later when I have to reorder contact lenses, they denied my prescription and claimed I haven’t gone there in years. He is a money hungry scum. If you use Dr. Novak please take notice as to how how is not genuinely nice at all and really just try to sell you on contact lenses or fancy glasses lenses from Cory in his office. Also take notice as to why Dr. Wilck and Dr. Schwartz are never there. They both despised Dr. Novak and Dr. Novak screwed the both of them out of their own business.
