KC's Gold and Collectibles - Open by Appointment Only — Local services in Newington

I have been coming to KC Gold and Collectibles since 2020 (five times so far) bringing in coins, gold and silvery jewelry and costume jewelry pieces. I am currently going through my parent’s estate and have had 2 appointments this past week. On every visit I felt welcome and treated fairly. I also learned something about the collectibles and precious metals business on each visit. Fred is very knowledgeable about his business, and I appreciate all the explanations he gives on the items. He has even given helpful advice about items he does not collect! Many reviewers call this a “hidden gem”, but I don’t think it’s hidden anymore! I keep going back because I have both a good feeling while I’m there and that same good feeling after I leave. There is never any pressure to sell anything if you are uncertain. This is a small time place the size of an office with a shared building...I brought in many different old currency coins from many different countries I've collected over the years and he offered me near nothing. He does not deal with Pokemon cards and is small time regarding comic books like advertisement says. I also just bought a 6.9mm diamond cut 10kt gold rope chain worth over $2,000 dollars at Kay's jeweler's and he offered me $444! He doesn't care about the piece only the weight. Kind guy who will look at what you have but is definitely out to make money not even close to giving you a fair deal! I've been to pawn shops that would offer me more than double what he did! Waste of time and gas money...I bet this review...

Me and my son just discovered the store yesterday. Wow! Was I surprised as well as impressed! Coins, jewelry, old records, cd's, comic books, sports collectibles, and more coolness. Very reasonable prices! I had a such a fun time looking through all the old records that I used to have when I was young. My son had a blast looking through the wonderful selection of coins. It was a pleasure to meet Fred the owner. He was so nice, helpful and knowledgeable. We bought some old coins and I also got a CD. We are so happy that a store like this exists right in our hometown!
