Updated to respond to "owners response". DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. SCAM!They are very immorally and unethical! First off there is no large sign stating they have a no refund policy. Secondly it is morally ethical to make sure you verbally notify and make sure the customer is completely and totally aware of the no refund policy before money exchanges hands. Their no refund policy is not noticable at all unless they point it out to you due to it being at the very bottom of the page in small print AFTER the SIGNATURE area!My wife was in extreme straught and stressed out to the max by the time she was purchasing a washer from them and they took advantage of the situation and neglected to be completely sure she knew of the no refund policy before money swapped hands. If she had been aware and notified of the no refund policy she would not have purchased from them. Further more they sold her a washer I believe they knew did not work and when she explained to them what it was doing or in our case "not doing" first off the guy she spoke to upon trying to return it didnt actually work there he was "helping out" and secondly he suggested that it was "my" fault that the washer was not working by making the statement to my wife "are you sure it's the washer and not the way your husband installed it ? Your husband could have not installed it correctly". My wife explained that she was not told about the no refund policy and that it was morally and ethically wrong. "Owner" did not seem to care that her employee did not confirm she knew about the policy before finishing the purchase. Due to being unethical and immoral along with their "helping hand" suggesting it was my fault my wife left with the non working washer and scammed out of 280 dollars. After leaving she proceeded to best buy and bought a washer from them a week later washer was delivered and I myself again installed the washer. Read moreRant and PSA: Recently purchased a stove and refrigerator from Gently Used Appliance in Newnan, Ga. Being on a fixed income I could not afford the big box costs for new appliances while I would have gladly given them a great review, however that could be further from truth. The owner of this business was absent from customers concerns. The original stove we purchased could have blown up our house up, we finally got in touch with him and he says that his personnel handled the original situation poorly, then we were given the opportunity to come pick out another stove and that stove failed after 2 days. We requested our original stove be returned to our home, was told they weren't sure if it was still there only to find out it had been reconditioned and made ready for resale. Oven was returned to us only to have a smell of gas in the house and decided to get a competent service company who will be here tomorrow. Now here is the kicker when we asked for the money for the stove be returned we were told that they would reimburse us for our meals until we got this resolved this was over $400 out of our pocket over the New Years holiday that we really didn't have When receipts were provided owner felt that $100 for meals was fair (really?) so we went ahead and accepted the money when I went to pick up money signed off on being satisfied with stove situation here is the other problem after signing off on the paperwork I received check and employee decided that he wanted to put his hands on me. I told him to get his hands off of me and left. I have since been wearing his review page out on my displeasure. Owner has yet to apologize for the situation. Read moreNEVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!! Buyer Beware!!!! My husband and I purchased a refrigerator from them and they advised they did not deliver to where we live approximately 45 miles away. Sharon, of Gently Used Appliance, assured us that the refrigerator was in working order - they had just washed it out thoroughly and it could not be plugged up for 24 hours...so it was not running at the time. We brought the refrigerator home since they did not deliver to our town and waited the required 24 hours to plug it in. Over the 4th of July weekend and Monday following the business was closed, however, I called Sharon on Tuesday to let her know the fridge was not cooling at all - the freezer was not work, nor was the refrigerator section work (side by side). She advised me to bring it back over - I explained that the transmission in our truck went out over the weekend & we did not have a way to bring it back. I asked that she make an exception & send someone to take a look at it - she refused & said she could not do that, but they would try to help over the phone, however, I decided to call in a repairman that has done work for us for over 10 years. There was no freon in the refrigerator so he put freon in...it ran for about 2 days and stopped again; the repairman came back out (no charge for this visit) and said since the fridge had evidently been run without freon, the compressor is shot. So, we paid $400+ for the refrigerator plus $168 to have freon put it...and have a non-working fridge for our trouble & Gently Used Appliances has a 'no refund' policy.
