I just found out about this place⊠New Yearâs Day I called to verify they were open and the lady who answered the phone was so friendly and polite answered all my questionsâŠso I drive 20 mins to this place located on Jefferson and I walked in and was greeted by a lady and the cutest little girl saying welcome to cobbler cafe. I was given a menu and a business card while deciding what to try. I got the stuffed cinnamon roll with apple cobbler and caramel and banana pudding. Later that evening me and my boyfriend took a bite of the cinnamon roll and omg was it delicious and the next day ate the banana pudding and that was so delicious too⊠I give it 10 stars if I could⊠I will definitely be making a trip back there.    Read moreOrdered my food through DoorDash. All honesty, I give it. 4.8 out of 5. Before I get into it, I thoroughly enjoyed my sweet treat! The cinnamon bun was still warm when I got it! It was nice and soft, the apples were cooked perfectly, and the icing wasnât overly sweet. My husband loved his banana pudding! Now two reasons for the 4.8: one, the $6.99 delivery fee through DoorDash is wild. Idk if that has to do with the facility, DoorDash, or both, but there are a plethora of places that are in Newport News that have free delivery or just the extra charge for the distance (like $0.49 or something like that). Two, the portion size for the price I think is a little more than I would pay. Maybe itâs a little less in person? I believe the banana pudding was $8 and the cinnamon bun was $7. But nonetheless, I would still get this again and try the different flavors/toppings they have to offer. Might have to take that drive and...
Read moreIt was my wife's anniversary and our thing has always been cobbler. We decided to support small businesses this time and make the drive after dinner during a thunderstorm. After a 30 min drive we pulled up right in front and I can see the worker chilling on his phone and I know he saw our car. As soon as we get ready to get out of the car he gets up and flips the sign to close, it was 4:57pm but Google says closes at 7pm. I look at him and motioned "are you closed?" and he nods his head and walks back to the counter on his phone. It might have been slow but it's going to be more than that soon with that kind of customer service. At the end of the day we still ate our cobbler elsewhere that wanted to make money. We definitely won't be trying this...
