Agree with Laura S. review below . I entered the store to a group of employees just sitting around with their laptops and chatting amongst themselves. I thought I walked into a store meeting , but they were just chatting amongst themselves!!! I guess whatever was on their laptop was more important than providing customer service. The designer, KATE ( don’t remember her last name but she has short hair and glasses ) was the only one to actually help me and she did help me a lot . She stayed with me the entire time to help. While I was browsing, Kate was the only one to greet oncoming customers who walked into the store. Beautiful store , Kate is wonderful and the only employee needed. Please put the other unhelpful, unprofessional employees into the back office to use their laptops and socialize; they lower the vibe of the store. This is the second S&L store I have visited. The first store I visited was in Palm Beach. The store looks very beachy and has items I would consider purchasing. I was considering some of the wallpapers until I learned later that the "silk" wallpaper is not PVC-free. The thing that truly puzzles me about this brand is how unfriendly the staff are. I thought maybe this was an anomaly in PB but no one in the chestnut Hill store acknowledged me. There were quite a few customers so maybe this explains why I felt invisible. We recently purchased Riviera dining chairs and counter stools and could not be more pleased! The color, quality, and look are exactly what we were hoping for. Additionally, the personnel at the Chestnut Hill store were extremely helpful with the initial purchase, and then the shipping requests (delaying delivery until we returned home). Follow-up questions were handled professionally and promptly. The furniture is terrific, but it is so nice to deal with people who truly understand what customer service is supposed to mean.
