Glazed Bytes — Restaurant in Newton

First time here and everything was wonderful! It's tucked on the 2nd level at the Shops @ Chestnut Hill.

We came here grab a drink but was enticed by the menu of croffles so.. We ordered one of each category on the menu!

Drinks: We got the cold brew and pistachio latte which were both great. My (cold brew) in particular was smooth.

Grilled cheese: Ordered the chicken bacon ranch which was nice and crisp and great flavor. Would recommend.

Croffle pizza byte: We got the avocado pesto byte which was a nice warm savory treat.

Croffle and ice cream: Ordered the apple pie crisp since it's fitting for the fall season and it was delicious. The croffle was nice like crisp on the outside and warm and soft on the inside and it's a la mode?! Can't beat that. The apple spice was there and it wasn't overly sweet.

Mini pastry croffle: Got the one with custard. The texture and flavor was the best way to end the experience here. Nice and light leaving your palate cleansed.

Vibes: Cozy. Nice for a chat and laptop sessions. Owner immediately says hi to every person who walks in.

Overall: Definitely coming back to try the rest. Apparently the owner likes the Avocado Chipotle chicken grilled cheese so maybe give that a try!

Partner’s sister introduced me to this cafe and so glad we went! we tried their signature cloud foam coffee, iced americano, avocado chipotle chicken grilled cheese, and cinnamon caramel croffle.

i got their cloud foam in hot and it was delicious. it was definitely on the sweeter side for me (maybe bc i got it warm?) as i’m not a big sweets person but still good nonetheless. americano was smooth and not overly acidic (she said it was the best she’s had in the boston/greater boston area since she’s been in korea). avocado chipotle chicken grilled cheese reminds me of a delicious & creamier version of panera's chipotle chicken melt — they didn’t skimp on the avo 👏🥑. it was my second time trying croffle and we loved that it had a chewiness to it, the ice cream was a nice touch too. if you want something with a little crispier crunch, definitely try their vanilla croffle that comes cold. it’s subtle in sweetness and a lovely complement to the coffees.
